It's so hard to find great authentic Italian food in southern California, unlike San Francisco or New York areas. But this one is it! Checked it out yesterday with two friends...all three of us had recently been in Tuscany for several weeks. We each ordered something different and each entree was fantastico! It's a little mom and pop cozy place... More

This is a very small place in a strip mall so the there's no fancy building just the regular Italian restaurant decor. What does set this place apart is that Mom (and Dad) really know how to cook! I find that rare in these days of Olive Garden same-o, same-o tasting chain restaurants. Everything I've had is unique and delectable!... More

Want to see a great show? Sit at the counter and gaze in amazement at the only chef who does a fantastic job of getting all the great dishes out to patrons in sync with the order of their dishes. A busy place with very large servings, great wait staff and and quality of food which belies the ordinary face... More

We are so sick of eating at the Italian chain restaurants in Irvine! We came across this little gem of a neighborhood restaurant in Tustin and were so happy that we stopped in. They make the focaccia and tiramisu in house and when they serve the focaccia warm and fresh out of the oven, its absolutely delicious and has a... More

We eat here regularly for several years. Everything they serve is fresh, very Italian and delicious. Small venue with good food and great service. Whatever their special is, you will love it and will have way more food than you can eat. Not to be missed if you enjoy good food at a reasonable price.

Carpaccio ($10.95) is thinly sliced raw beef topped with grana cheese, capers, and olive oil. It is the perfect marriage of the sweet raw beef, salty cheese, briny capers, and just a smidgen of lemon juice. You don’t need to eat all of the capers, just add some to your liking. Rating: 4/5 Calamari Fritti ($10.95) is a very generous... More

This is a small restaurant tucked away in a storefront at the back of the Tustin Plaza shopping center. You would not normally expect to find a high quality Italian restaurant in a shopping center with a 99 Cent store (formerly an Office Depot) and a Soup Plantation....but this is 2016 Southern California, where all things seem to be possible... Barolo's has it all; delicious food, excellent service, and a warm and welcome setting. Very fair pricing as well. Have been a number of times. This time ordered the spaghetti (although substituted for fettuccine) with broccoli and scampi: the best pasta dish I have had in a long time. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

Just ate here for the first time for lunch today. It sits in a strip mall but the food and service WORLD CLASS. We both had angel hair with olive oil, tomatoes and basil. I also had sweet sausage on mine. Foccia Bread was superb. Hot, right out of oven. The portion sizes are huge. The taste outstanding and the... More

Barolo Cafe is a hidden little gem. I've been coming here, OMG 17 years now! And Chef Giuseppe just does it right. Hands-down, some of the BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN ORANGE COUNTY! While over the years, I've tried so many of Chef Giuseppe's creations, from the always fresh, always perfectly cooked Alaskan Halibut or any numerous other fish and daily... More
