My husband has been raving about Drunken Monkey's kawari edamame starter for a year and I finally got here. Quite a kick, but absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the calamari starter. The gyoza was fine, but I've had better... not crispy enough for my taste....More

We were told 45 min -1.5 hours and waited over 2 hours- by the time we were served it was 2.5 hours. Instead of being apologetic, the waitstaff was defensive and food, although ok, was nowhere worth the wait.

In the past I had held drunken monkey in quite high regards. Not so much anymore. We waited forever for our order to be taken, the sushi was pretty bland, and the prices did not match the quality of food.

After a 45 minute wait, we got a table. Ordering and getting food was even slower. The edamame was the very good, but the sushi was average at best. I’ve had better for sure. Go eat at the restaurants in historic Truckee instead.
