I stop by the Red Car whenever I am in Torrance. An interesting menu, great beers brewed on site and a welcoming staff. What's not to like? I love the chicken diablo wrap, but the burgers are good too.

The Red Car Brewery's name is a nod to the Pacific Electric Railway ("Red Cars") which once provided mass transit within the city of Torrance (as well as other parts of Southern California). And while Red Car Brewery is located within a historic building, the building itself once housed Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co (1928 -1953). I have visited this... More

Took some out of town co workers here for lunch. Good selection of pasta , pizza , sandwiches and salads. You can't go wrong something for every. This is the old historical site of the rail line so neat from a historical point. Micro brew is good although did not enjoy a drink this visit. Give it a dry for... More

Stopped by for lunch, and went early at 11:30 which was good because they filled up fast. Our service here was exceptional, and the food was equally good. I didn't feel like a lot of food so I ordered an appetizer which could have fed a crowd, we brought a box home. My plate included chicken satay, onion rings, wings,... More

I had the Reuben and was very pleased with the meat as often restaurants server fatty, greasy meat on Reubens. The meat on the sandwhich was very good and not a lot of fat.... More

I have had red posole before, but this was the first time for the green! Delicious! The chicken sandwich was good, but not special. Our server, Jessica, was wonderful and recommended a marvelous - little known - Chardonnay.

Recently visited the Red Car Brewery with family. The restaurant was in a lull thanks to our timing so seating was immediate. Several at our table ordered beer, I quite enjoyed the bitter on special that evening. Our server, Jessica, was fantastic. We were a big party and she was right there taking care of everything. Food was delivered quickly... More

The food here is terrific. Two people had separately recommended it to me, but I'm not a drinker so an evening in a brewery was of little interest. But I went with friends and was knocked out. I had the special, a kale caesar salad, which was great. They had pizza and steaks, and everybody liked our meal. (They also... More
