We were so excited when we came upon this awesome little piece of history while traveling up the coast. It was early afternoon when we stopped so we didn't eat, but it smelled delicious and a great stop for the history lesson.

Very friendly and personable people run this place. Highly recommend! Home made cocktail sauce and bleu cheese dressing. Quirky atmosphere. Very enjoyable.

We had lunch here for the second time today, and the food is too good here to not write about. We live nearby in Marin County, and used to drive by historic William Tell House without knowing what a gem of eatery it is but no more! If you are driving out Highway 1 or in Marin/ Sonoma Counties, making... More

Stopped by here during a coastal drive. Didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Bar was crowded. Mostly locals. Staff very friendly. Food, especially the oysters, was great.

Easy street parking on local parallel street to Highway One. On a weekday be sure to check if restaurant is open, as days vary according to seasons. Great grilled oysters: I tried the "William Tell" ones, with garlic and parmesan cheese. I was thrilled with my T-bone lamp chops, delicious and tender, with great accompanying mixed vegetables. Service was attentive... More

We were here on Valentine's night and to be fair we did not have a reservation. It was very crowded so we were directed to the bar. The server was very busy. We ordered a Greek pizza to split. It was a half hour before the pizza arrived. It was a regular meat pizza. Having already waited a long time,... More

We just stopped here for drinks and ended up having dinner at the bar. The bartender was fairly new but very engaging and friendly. Lots of locals stopped in during our stay and the bar filled to capacity a couple of times. We met the owner, an older gentleman formally from Greece. He shared his knowledge of the town and... Ate here after getting to the coast for a 5 day camping trip. The restaurant was EMPTY on a Thursday night but our waitress was good and helpful. When my SIL took her napkin off the bread plate and we all saw the little pink blob of ABC gum we kinda laughed and just asked for a new place and... More

We found this oasis after a full day of flying and while driving to our vacation spot we stumbled on this place. We ordered a meal lovers pizza and a salad. We were starving and the pizza and salad was exactly what we needed. Both were delicious. We returned for dinner to enjoy the William Tell Style Oysters, they were... More

Girlfriend's getaway in Tomales was highlighted with a wonderful dinner & great wine here. I'd come back just for the clam chowder. Excellent!
