We were in South San Francisco and looking for a place to eat. We tied this sushi place. Overall it was pretty good. I had a firecracker and a crazy roll. The Firecracker was better. The crazy roll had a little fishy taste. There were not a lot of people eating for a Friday night.

First, the decor is contemporary, doesn't attempt to look Japanese. Best of all though was the food. We had an extensive sampling of the Yakitori and with the single exception of the chicken liver, which was overcooked and dry,,, it was excellent. The only negative was finding somewhere to park -- amazing in the time of Covid.

It was quite good! I was not expecting much but the food was fabulous! Fresh sushi rolls! The service was outstanding as well. Not too expensive and totally worth the price!

For wonderful sushi and all around great Japanese food, Izanami is so good. The sushi is really fresh and good. I always get a tuna roll and eel. Their shrimp with wasabi is a great treat. The owner, Cindy, is so personable and welcoming.

I love this place so much. I go there from day they opened. Amazing service with a tasty food. The price is not expensive compare to other places. If you have a chance just go there and try it.

We ordered food through the Grubhub app. Took about an hour and the food was good and fresh. Not expensive will order again.

We had a mid week lunch. Place was half empty and yet service was not good.
I asked for sashimi to be served first and hot dishes later. They brought it all together. It took several minutes of waiving to get a check.
Sashimi were very good. Hot dishes not so much.
Pricey all above considering

I ate here three times, every time on the occasion of lunch with co-workers. It is certainly not the best place in the area to try Japanese cuisine but it is good enough to be satisfied. Every visit had its hits and misses. Ramen or sushi always tasted good but salad was more like a bagged grocery store salad. Fried chicken reminded me of the fast food meal. Dry, salty, nothing special. Tempura veggies and prawns was really good, unfortunately there were more vegetables than prawns. Place itself is of nice appearance, has a modern look with Asian decor. Dark walls create relaxing ambiance. Not my favorite place but suitable to have a nice business lunch.

We ordered several menu (tempura, ramen and sushi). Surprisingly only the sushi menu is good considering this place is not near downtown area. Ramen taste weird. Tempura is standard.

Went there at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday and had a 5 Min. Wait. Place was jammed packed. Had Tonkatsu Ramen and was great along was 2 sashimi platters! Service was great. Place can seat around 110 persons!!!

I went here recently for lunch with a few friends and the sushi rolls are excellent. We shared several rolls: Cherry Blossom Roll, Salmon w/ Avacado ( although the waiter ordered wrong and gave us tun w/ avacado) and a Dragon Roll. We also ordered the side salad and 4.95 was much too much $ for the salad.
In the past I have had the Ramen soup and it was just okay. The sushi each and every time is fresh and delicious.

Not as good as Amami San Sushi which is 2 min walk almost across the street . Also prices are higher here. Besides the staff it is not very friendly

Nice friendly atmosphere, ordered a ramen which was good and some chicken karaage. I was just passing by one night in SSF and I was satisfied by choosing this place for dinner!

I had a bowl of shio ramen and some gyoza. The gyoza were terrible, kind of watery inside and not crispy. The ramen was pretty good, nicely cooked but the soup was lacking in depth of flavor. Service from the server was a little unprofessional, the sushi chefs seemed on top of things. I don't think anyone working here is actually Japanese. Prices are quite low.

We were very happy with the delivery of sushi and ramen to our hotel. Highly recommend this place. No delivery charge. Nice fresh ingredients and a polite delivery man.
