We were excited to go back to this restaurant that we had loved but it just wasn't as great as our last visit. The ambiance is warm and inviting with beautiful tile and a wood oven, the appetizer on the house is always yummy, however, my pork tenderloin was not as delectable as the last time. It was a little... More

Overall, this is an excellent find. Two of us had the wild prawns and risotto, a third had the sea bass and all were unique and delicious. Entree portions were a bit small -- Only three prawns, but they were of a decent size and there was plenty of that terrific risotto. Good report on the bass, also a smallish... More

We periodically come through Sonoma, usually to pick up some Vella cheese or shop, but this time opted to stay on for lunch. LaSalette is billed as a Portuguese restaurant and is conveniently located right off the town square in a small cluster of shops, which makes it really easy to find as you wander around the area. Although we... More

I had dinner here the other night and was delighted with my meal. The salad special that included octopus was amazing! Octopus can sometimes be tough and rubbery but here was cooked to perfection. The stuffed pork loin was so filling I couldn't fit dessert into the meal. The chef sent our table a little plate of small round candy... More

Our vintner at Two Amigos recommended we try LaSalette for dinner and it did not disappoint. Our meal began with a TASCA Tasting Plate with 5 items. It was a wise choice. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals ~ it was a delightful evening all the way around.

My Danish visiting friends thought it impossible. The lovely and polite server carried plate after small plate to our table to share and taste. In Scandinavia, they would have insisted on plunking it all on the table at once. The mussels had an excellent sauce and were just correctly cooked. The bacalao was wonderful; something that I always stay away... More

Enjoyed introducing a friend to this unique place for gastronomic delights. It tickles me to see such offerings as Pig Ears, Tripe, and Pig Feet although personally they are not my choices. Having found this spot several years ago doing a shopping errand in Sonoma, it became the primary rationale for making the trek as well as seeing the expansive... More

Man, I just love small plates. I had the five tasting plates for $26: I chose the sardine pâté , the white anchovies, escargot in garlic butter, herb marinated olives, and spicy fried pig ears. It was excellent. I should have had the seven items for $35 dollars. For the main course my wife and I both had the caldeirada,... More

In Sonoma with friends and the weather was beautiful so we enjoyed a nice lunch sitting outside at LaSalette. You have to look for the restaurant it is down one of the alleys off the square. We were disappointed to learn they no longer had sweetbreads on their menu. My husband enjoyed the tasting platter selecting 5 items, pig feet... More

Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country.

Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.
