We stopped in Sonomo as part of the Extranomical Wine tour and popped into the Girl and the Fig for lunch. Great selection on the menu and really tasty food. The prices were all very reasonable and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

I think you have to know what to eat here. Great grilled octopus, my wife loved the arugula/fig salad (hold the pancetta). Steak and frites were ordinary. Nice decor and ambience.

This was the best restaurant we have been to in years! The flavors in each dish were delicately balanced, and perfectly done. My huband had the menu du jour - tuna tartare appetizer, pork ragu with homemade fettuccini pasta as the entree. Dessert was a choice of an ice cream sundae or a cheese tray. I had the soup du... Service was condescending and they tried to rush you through. One of the meals was fine the Quiche was thick and not impressive - poor for a French restaurant. All image and little substance for the price?

Great menu choices with something special for young and old alike in our group. I loved the vegetarian dishes, and my son who lives abroad appreciated the.advice from the wait staff about wine pairings. Best quiche and cheese platters we ever had! Cozy environment but quite noisy on busy weekends. Foodies looking for carefully crafted dishes won't be disappointed.

While spending 24 hours in Sonoma with friends from Northern Illinois, we decided to revisit a great restaurant. After several rainy days, Friday turned out sunny and warm So much so we requested a table outside in the shade. They fixed us up well. Because of the very rainy season in Sonoma, the girl & the fig had installed a... More

This restaurant remains my favorite place to go for special occasions in Northern California/Wine Country. First of all, the food is wonderful. It is a combination of very fresh and interesting dishes, with California and French touches. This restaurant shops locally and supports local providers of vegetables, cheeses, meats and wines, to name a few. The Arugula Salad with Figs... More

We stopped here for dinner on our first night in Sonoma. We had been traveling all day and were starving, but also wanted to make sure we didn't waste a single meal while in Sonoma. We were able to be seated right away, and the outdoor seating area was totally comfortable even in March! Our waiter did a fantastic job... More

This is THE place you will LOVE in Sonoma...marvelous cuisine that reminded us of a bistro in Paris. Full bar, marvelous menu choices which include so many of the local cheeses that we had for appetizer. Duck confit superb, steakfrites perfectly medium rare, arugala salad....attentive service and of course it was crowded o last Saturday night, but we were smart... More
