Dined outside as we had our dog with us. The wait was about 30 minutes. Service was good. Coffee refills were automatic! Tried the Danish pancakes. They are thinner than an American pancake but thicker than a crepe. It was OK

We stopped in Solvang on our way to San Luis Obispo to visit our daughters at Cal Poly. I had read this was a popular place for breakfast, so we got there early and still had a bit of a wait for a table inside--it was a cold February morning. Even the outdoor seating was full within 30 minutes of... More

Driving down to Southern California to visit family. Stayed in Solvang for the evening. Next morning we decided against the hotel free breakfast. Walked down yo Paula's Pancake. We got the last table. This place is very popular and busy. Setvice was good and server very friendly. Our breakfast was good.

The first morning we were in Solvang this restaurant was just across the street from our hotel. Seeing the crowd outside we knew we couldn't go wrong for breakfast. Given the amount of people ahead of us we were seated really fast. The coffee was hot but the stand out for me was the special danish pancakes. I had never... More

I've eaten at this charming little place several times over the years and have never been disappointed. We drove all the way to Solvang from Anaheim one time just because I had a crazy craving for the Belgian waffles.

This very popular breakfast place opens at 6:30am, and the lines get long the later it gets, especially on nice days when you can eat outside. The Danish pancakes are perfect--thin and tasty--with topping choices. Lots of other breakfast items are available, such as smoked salmon benedict. Service is prompt and accurate. Family friendly and very reasonable prices. Definitely a... More

I came here with my boyfriend both mornings we were in Solvang; the breakfast was so good we had to come back. The first and second morning I got the same thing: Danish pancakes with no fruit or whip cream but with syrup, bacon and eggs. Had orange juice the first day and a Carlsberg beer (had to try it)... If your going to Solvang part of the trip should be Paula's. Famous for their Danish Pancakes, it's really a nice coffee shop. The food is good but it's the Staff and atmosphere that make it special. Crowded on weekends.
