The first morning we were in Solvang this restaurant was just across the street from our hotel. Seeing the crowd outside we knew we couldn't go wrong for breakfast. Given the amount of people ahead of us we were seated really fast. The coffee was hot but the stand out for me was the special danish pancakes. I had never... More

I've eaten at this charming little place several times over the years and have never been disappointed. We drove all the way to Solvang from Anaheim one time just because I had a crazy craving for the Belgian waffles.

This very popular breakfast place opens at 6:30am, and the lines get long the later it gets, especially on nice days when you can eat outside. The Danish pancakes are perfect--thin and tasty--with topping choices. Lots of other breakfast items are available, such as smoked salmon benedict. Service is prompt and accurate. Family friendly and very reasonable prices. Definitely a... More

Love this place, great service, great food, great staff. Very crowded but worth the wait, Julie was such a pleasure.

I came here with my boyfriend both mornings we were in Solvang; the breakfast was so good we had to come back. The first and second morning I got the same thing: Danish pancakes with no fruit or whip cream but with syrup, bacon and eggs. Had orange juice the first day and a Carlsberg beer (had to try it)... If your going to Solvang part of the trip should be Paula's. Famous for their Danish Pancakes, it's really a nice coffee shop. The food is good but it's the Staff and atmosphere that make it special. Crowded on weekends.

We came back to Solvang on our way north specifically to have breakfast at Paula's. It was worth it. The restaurant opens early-6 AM-which is great for Easterners who get up at the crack of dawn. We each had bacon and eggs with fruit and delicious coffee. Eggs cooked perfectly and yummy bacon--a little salty but so tasty. This is... More

This restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area, and the menu is large with breakfast and lunch dishes. I ordered the danish pancakes - a specialty - with fresh fruit. I had hoped they would be tastier. They were dry and pretty bland.

I had the eggs benedict Florentine. The hollandaise sauce had little flavor and the color was not right. There was very little sauce on my eggs. When I was halfway done with my breakfast I noticed a film on the roof of my mouth and my teeth. This is when I realized the fats they cook with. Hydrogenated fats 🖓no!... More

We were headed northwards in the morning, and everyone wanted to stop for breakfast. I'd heard about Solvang and the Scandinavian restaurants in it. The name convinced us to choose the Pancake House, and we were all pleasantly surprised at the wide array of items on the menu. As my three boys were not all that familiar with foods other... More
