My wife and I went to Walt's Wharf for the first time. It is downtown Seal Beach and a block from the beach. At the advice of a friend, we sat in the bar area, which has windows to two streets. We lucked out and got there when Happy Hour (3PM to 6PM) was still going. They had some great... More
I had lunch with a friend at the Bar because on a Thursday the Bar tables were full at noon. We had great service. I ordered the Trout and it is a dish I can't stop thinking about. Definitely the best I ever had outside when I fished with a friend and threw one into a pan right out of... More
Walt's Wharf, on the picturesque Main Street of Seal Beach, is simply outstanding. After sampling Chowder in Napa Valley and Monterey, it was here at Seal Beach where we discovered how good Chowder really can be! The grilled seafood salad had a plethora of grilled octopi, shrimp and scallops, all on a bed of fresh peppers, onions and greens in... More
In town for an appointment and we're were treated to lunch at Walt's Wharf. As soon as you walk in the door, you get the smell of the wood used for smoking. They offer a large menu for a variety of wines, beers, spirits, and foods. we were in for lunch and the place was buzy. The service was excellent,... More
We rarely visit the sea side town of Seal Beach anymore as the parking is a nightmare. But my brother had just flown into town from New Zealand and really likes the crab cakes they service at Walt’s Wharf. Luckily it did not take too long this time to find parking close by. The hostess was cheery and very helpful,... More
I have been going to Walt's for over ten years; it is the meeting place when I visit friends in Seal Beach/Long Beach. Nice atmosphere, good wine list and the fish is prepared properly. I have always had a good meal there.
Walt's Wharf is excellent; service, food, and pleasant surroundings. My husband had one if the best steaks he has ever eaten. It was tender, quality meat that was cooked perfectly. I had the special of the night, Norwegian Halibut. It was also cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. This place is a little pricey but we'll worth it!
Been there multiple times over seven years and I have never been disappointed. Whenever my wife and I visit a good friend in Seal Beach, we always have dinner here. My encrusted halibut was delicious. For desert I ordered their Cabernet sorbet with fruit. Scrumptious! Wife had their large salad and soup as did our friend. Service was attentive and... More
