Four of us went to lunch at Zazu on a Saturday. The restaurant was not crowded, and the table service was very good. It seemed like the food prep time was a little slow, but the food was so good we really didn't mind. Well worth the 18-22 dollar per entree price. We were also Ok with the automatic 20%... More

When something is really good you know it immediately, but can't easily describe it. In Japan, they say "Umami" and I was hoping to find it at Zazu. Maybe that is an unfair expectation. We were just stopping by for a light dinner before a show at Hop Monk. We sat at the bar and we ordered two beers, the... More

I've been here before and always had a good experience. The hostess was rude. We asked to move to a table with more shade and got attitude. A shaded table opened up and the bus man was put out when we changed tables. We were about to leave but relented when we met our nice waiter. I enjoyed my salad... More

This is a restaurant for people with hearty appetites. My wife and I ordered bacon wrapped dates and the dirty burger--cheese burger with ground bacon--which sounded mouth watering. However, our meals were nothing special as the bacon flavor was barely perceptible, with the cheese and pate adding excessive weight to the pallet. The appetizer was one dimensional and heavy, with... More

The newish service charge is not what we expected. A 20 percent surcharge added on the bill did not enhance the experience. It is our opinion that a tip is a gratuity and is based on the service provided. We will not be going back.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Zazu Kitchen and Farm on a recent visit to Sebastopol. The concept is farm to table. They do an excellent job of it. We had a tomato based refreshment made with homemade tomato juice which was very tasty. Our entrees were well prepared with unique recipes. My wife has celiac... More

The food was excellent with attentive service. Though the menu changes daily, the item I chose seems to be perennial. The DIRTY Burger (with bacon in the burger and duck pâté on top) is amazing! The pasta dishes are delicious. Don't miss Zazu if your staying anywhere near Sebastopol/Santa Rosa!

Had a great dinner on a quiet Saturday evening at Zazu. The fried chicken could practically feed 2 people!

I brought my niece who was visiting from out of town. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is always exceptional. Try the bacon wrapped figs or one of Duskie's signature pasta's. My niece loved the Moscow Mule cocktail with ginger beer made in house. You will not find a can or box in the kitchen, everything is in... More
