While visiting Santa Monica, my wife came here for lunch. Our salads were outstanding. I had the beers and carrot salad. And my wife had the Brussels sprout salad. Both were delicious, and nicely decorated. The restaurant decor is old fashioned, and quite proper for the building. We really enjoyed our lunch. We recommend it.

I went to this restaurant on my daughter's recommendation. She lives here and said the foos, drinks and service was exceptional. She was right. We shared the egg white omelet with mushrooms, the Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese with chorizo. The portion sizes are easily shareable and they top off the meal with a complimentary cookie. Despite a short... More

Awesome food and a very popular happy hour - although no food only booze. Perfect for first dates or even a romantic dinner out! The interior is nicely dimmed and the food is fantastic. For being on 3rd streets is one of the best restaurants in the area. They missed our name on the waitlist and were kind enough to... More

I love to take people here when they are in Santa Monica; food is great, cocktails are respectable, and the people watching is fun. Great interior too.

I had a few hours to spare, so I headed out to see the sea. Unfortunately the fog had other ideas, so I went for lunch. I stopped off in The Misfit and had a mighty tasty burger and what seemed like a bucket load of fries. Very enjoyable. Staff are friendly and don't bother you too much, they leave... More

Stopped in for lunch, the Kale and Quinoa Salad was excellent as well as the hand cut fries. Their pickles were insanely good. Definitely to be savoured slowly. The ambience is that of a speakeasy and it was beautiful, the postprandial cookie was definitely endearing.

Our hotel room was not ready yet so Marbie from the Shore Hotel recommended The Misfit Restaurant & Bar. He batted 1000! We shared a few appetizers - the Nik Niks (lobster and roast beef) snacks on a Hawaiian role - to die for. Also had the brussel sprouts - unbelievable! The cocktails were super as well. If we ever... Unique atmosphere in downtown Santa Monica. My nephew is still talking about the french dip sliders. Try the french press coffee.

First food stop of the trip. Well worth it! I had the cauliflower fried rice with fried egg. If you didn't know what it was made out of, you'd never know it wasn't actually rice. Very accommodating to food allergies and great housemade sangria!

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
