We so lucked out! I drove down to the Hyatt Santa Clara, near Great America. 1st time in decades. Needed to get lunch in the 'hood; someone pointed us to a ToGo's in the tiniest of malls. Off we walked to find it closed, and...the Chinese place next door ditto...guess they cater to the M-F crowd. Facing imminent starvation and a time bind we went one step further into the unknown...into Sridhar's welcoming hands at Golkonda. Exceedingly simple tables. Exceedingly good goat biryani and chicken curry. And garlic naan. Generous portions. Terrific, heartwarming service. I don't think they serve beer or wine, etc. Maybe you can bring your own? Definitely bring something to take a bit of the wonderful food back home! Our experience was so good we went back Sunday, and again so good I ordered food to go for my family back up in Mill Valley! I would love to go back; in a heartbeat. Plenty of Indians there to back up my opinion...probably wondering how we found the place! G....is great for friends and family and takeout. Not sure about delivery. Do not expect a wine list, lol. To be honest, I never even saw a menu....Sridhar just took us in hand. IF I ever invested in another restaurant, he'd be one of the people I 'd love to have on staff/running things! Check! It! Out!More

Delicious food. I had the goat biryani and roti. The goat was not the fried version, very tender and juicy. Some might not like the bones but that made it all the better! He warned me it might be hot, and it was (medium heat...level), so order mild if you can’t handle it! They also comped me a delicious mango drink (not sure what it was, seemed to be made with yogurt, maybe a mango lassi). Staff were friendly and helpful as well as fast. The only downside was that the bathroom really needed cleaning and bench at the door could have been wiped down. However, when I told the manager, he immediately went in to check and called to have it cleaned, apologizing for the need to do so. I will return if I am ever in the area but do not live there… bummer!More
