My wife & I visited here on our honeymoon. Really nice place, busy, friendly & efficient staff. We shared popcorn crawfish to star. For main I had jambalaya & my wife stuffed fillet steak. All were really nice. Felt popcorn crawfish could have been crispier but that was the first time I've ever had crawfish so maybe it isn't meant... More

We had a wonderful meal at Palace Grill. The soft shell crabs were delicious. We also enjoyed the Oyster appetizer. It is a busy place and reservations are needed. The atmosphere is fun and we had great service.

Went here for dinner a few nights ago with my husband and it was fantastic! Our waiter (Kevin) was super friendly and helpful. It was our first time here and he recommended one of their sampler platters, which we ordered (all though there were a lot of things on the menu that looked great). It was plenty of food for... We went here after a spanish bar down the street refused to seat us (they were closing in 15 minutes...but other patrons were still dining- very rude). We walked in and they took us in with open arms. Our waitress was so friendly and when we told her it was our birthday (myself and twin sister) she got us a... More

Although located in down town Santa Barbara, the Palace Grill feels like the deep South. Good old cajun food, authentic room and even a sing along with the staff all are part if the deal. Come early ( reservation only for 5.30 pm on Friday and Saturday night) or be prepared to cue up. We loved the crayfish popcorn and... More

We dined at this restaurant on a Monday evening at 8 pm, and it was completely full. Many potential patrons were turned away, so you know it has to be pretty good. We thought it was. You'll think you were dining in New Orleans with the cajun menu and fun atmosphere. The staff were all great, as they seem to... More

Had dinner with a group on Saturday night. Lots of noise, which is okay. However, I was unaware that this was an old Santa Barbara establishment and went on line to read other reviews before writing mine.A lot of the reviews were in line with my thoughts. The food was expensive, for the amount and quality. The muffins were great.... More

The Palace is one of the best in Santa Barbara. It's crowded and noisy with jazz playing all the time and people having a great time. The food and drink is terrific. I had the blackened filet mignon and it was superb. The atmosphere is casual, but the menu is marvelous. Park in the public lot around the corner and... More

Throughout the years, The Palace has also been a favorite of culinary legends (including chef Julia Child and chef Wolfgang Puck) and has served its cuisine to countless global dignitaries - including 5 U. S. Presidents. At the Palace Grill, everyone shares one goal: to give our guests the most extraordinary dining experience possible: every time they visit. Besides our wonderful cuisine, The Palace is known for it's unique style of "Team Service" (which the Nation's Restaurant News called "an idea whose time has come") and our nostalgic nightly staff and guest Sing-A-Long to Louis Armstrong's iconic song - "What A Wonderful World."
