Came here with a group of friends recently. It was a little chilly to sit outside and they told us there would be a wait for a table. We walked downstairs and got a drink while we waited. I was pleased they had a couple of local beer choices and my friend said his bloody mary was excellent. The pager... More

We went here for lunch and the clam chowder and salad. The bowl of soup was fantastic. Every spoonful had clams and it was not filled with lots of potatoes. I enjoyed the salad but the dressing that came with it did not have much flavor. Next time I will ask if there is a choice of dressings. Oh yes,... More

Excellent food with beautiful views! You're in for a long wait to get into this restaurant, so be prepared for that. However the wait is completely worth it!

We waited an hour, but it was a fun hour. We met people and had drinks with them while we waited. We sat outside, which is the tiniest area, but great view of the harbor. Very casual, local and hopping place with great seafood. I would go again!

Lunch here is legendary fulfilment on our way back to the airport. We sip a beer upstairs while watching the worker bees create magic. Those guys could shuck oysters for America. Outside, kayaker glide across the harbour as the light chases the sun across the mountains. At this moment, briefly wishing-well dreams come true

Menu is traditional seafood with many fried fish dishes. Restaurant overlooks the harbor. Very popular. Get there before the dinner hour on a weekend or plan to wait a long time. Good food, setting and service. Only complaint is it is very noisy inside and you can't see out very well. A table on the outside balcony solves the noise... More

I chose a very busy Friday night to give this place a try since it was recommended by the concierge at the Ramada. It was crowded and there was a 20 minute wait. I went downstairs and shopped while I waited. 20 minutes later I was seated. I was promptly greeted by my server and my order was taken. The... More

Description
We are a casual seafood house that is located right on the dock in the Santa Barbara Harbor. You’ll find a bustling scene of fisherman, young professionals and sand-sprinkled beach-goers nearly every night of the week at this true-blue waterfront institution. Dungeness crab cocktail, oysters on the half-shell and fried shrimp round out the “small” menu offerings. Fresh fish specials, such as grilled white sea bass from local waters, mahi mahi dusted in Cajun spices and pan-blackened local yellowtail, are highlights on the “long” menu. No matter what, libations are always in order at this locals’ favorite gathering place. Everyone is welcome at Brophy's, hope to see you soon.
