We were here for a family lunch. The kids had a great time, as there is a play area right in the restaurant, and we had an adjacent table. The food was good. The mini-raisin/apple muffins that were provided by the restaurant were incredibly good. The food is uniformly good, and there is frequently live music. Please make reservations. There... More

The live band sounded very Grateful Dead-like, and the volume was just right. We could hear the music, and still talk. There is an extensive menu. The pizza was just OK, and I would recommend something else. We really liked the Brussels sprouts appetizer. It had a wonderful vibe – go if you are in San Rafael.

My disclaimer is that I am a Deadhead by marriage. We met with friends on three separate occasions while visiting from out of town. One evening we ate in the back of the bar. There was virtually not enough light to read the menu.Would it be too much to have your wait staff carry a small flashlight?I had the fish and chips... Formerly, we went here just for the atmosphere, or with deadhead relatives from Chicago. We have been favorably impressed that this now qualifies as a good restaurant for the food, not just a cultural attraction.

Terrapin is a fun lively place with a great play area for kids and live music most evenings and weekends. The food is nothing memorable, just decent. The drinks are tiny and not strong so I recommend sticking with wine or beer.

I love this place! Phil Lesh either owns this place or just plays here all the time. There's always great bands playing here and Phil often is either dropping in to play with them or playing in his own band here what seems to be a few times a month. They are always covering Grateful Dead songs and the crowd... More

The people and staff at Crossroads are a delight to be with. We enjoyed live music that was of course focussed on the Dead scene. This is a must do visit of a fan of the Dead. Most Grateful for the food, music and excellent staff.

Meals I've had--and we go occasionally during the year--are always delicious and fresh, and sharp and interestingly presented--the halibut and the steaks are exceptional, and the hors d'ouevers are all very tasty. A great additon to the culinary spots in Marin County, to be sure--and the music is GREAT!

I'm a Dead Head so of course I have to stop in occasionally. Some guy Phil or something owns it. Great music, and grounds. Bocce pits, and nice outdoor area. Can get a little pricey 7 bucks for I think its an 8 or 10 ounce beer, but I don't come here to throw them back, more for the tunes.... More

Phil Lesh pulled out all the stops when he opened Terrapin Crossroads, a haven for Deadheads and folks who want to enjoy great food while having fun. TC has it all...food & drink, real live music, water views, a killer deck with bocce courts, a playground for kids, and plenty of free parking. The Happy Hour was packed with locals... More
