Spent a relaxing 1 1/2 hours enjoying the afternoon tea at the Huntington Japanese Tea Garden. Excellent, doting service, a fantastic selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and crumpets with clotted cream and all the other necessities to enjoy a satisfying snack or lunch. The teas were delicious to wash it all down. Very special and highly recommend.

I enjoyed "High Tea" with 2 girlfriends on March 4. The entire experience from beginning to end was delightful. Our server, Gianna, was organized, charming, personable and helpful. She got us started with tea choices and then returned to take our order. The high tea begins with scones and choices of jam and lemon curd. The tea comes on a... More

This used to be my favorite place. My family and I celebrated birthdays and other special occasions here for years. Today I arrived to find out that it had changed from the wonderful buffet I had looked forward to. They now serve you a fixed menu at table. Gone are the wonderful salads, and the sandwich menu has also changed.... More

My husband and I have been here several times (we're members of the Library/Garden) and we didn't realize that management changed until our recent visit. First and the most obvious - it was no longer a buffet, which we were looking forward to since we didn't eat breakfast or lunch. However, we left the tea room full and thought the... More

We were glad that we carved a long tea hour out of our art works peregrinations. You don't need to wear your long white gloves but eating here is a notch or two above a cafe. Much attention to serving you with panache. There is surprising variety in the dainty tea sandwiches and delightful desserts. Not recommended if you are... More

This was my treat to my college-age daughter and her best friend, who were home for the winter break. Although both were familiar with the idea of a high tea, the experience was a new one, and, now able to enjoy the setting, offerings, and a glass of champagne, they relished every morsel. We ended the day with a stop... More

The Huntington Tea Room used to be a quaint setting for a leisurely tea. A variety of delicious teas were accompanied by a nice buffet where diners could partake of tea and scones, and a nice selection of sandwiches, salads, cheeses, and desserts. No more. For the same price, you now get a tower of selected sandwiches and desserts, a... More

Wonderful selections of teas and staff not stingy with second helpings. View through the Gardens and relaxed atmosphere made the luncheon even more memorable

My family likes to visit tea rooms, and this is one of the best we've ever enjoyed!! The setting was gorgeous, the staff was excellent, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We were especially impressed with the tea list--the 4 of us each tried a different one, and they were all wonderful. We were offered a complimentary glass of... More

We have been to a number of afternoon teas and this is one of our favorites. The food was creative and delicious, and we couldn't believe they offered to bring us extra sandwiches for free! We were also offered complimentary glasses of prosecco which we gladly accepted. I thought the tea list was extensive and the teas were fantastic (we... More
