You know when you want to order a breakfast that makes you feel like you're still snuggled deep inside the most comfortable comforter and you want it to be decadent without being greasy, familiar without being boring? This is your place. Bring an extra stomach, because the servings are huge.

The menu is made up of standard diner fare. The lunch options are plentiful, and the portions are generous. The booths are pretty small, though, so seating can be a bit of a squeeze. Good, quick service. It was very convenient eating here after our visit to the Mission.

We stopped in about 1:30 for lunch (they close at 2 pm) so it wasn’t too crowded but there were other customers. We split a tri-tip sandwich and fries which they graciously plated separately without being asked. The sandwich had a lot of meat on it and ½ a sandwich was quite filling. The waitress was very nice. It’s just... More

Great staff, good service. We love the small town atmosphere of San Juan Bautista, the Mission and the quirky spots in town.

This is the real deal, an American diner. The decor is classic 1950s: red and white checkerboard linoleum floor, red vinyl barstools and booths, ceiling fans - the whole deal is genuine. So is the menu, the service and the prices. Took me back a ways very pleasantly.

My boyfriend and I have been here quite a few times and have always had a great breakfast. The wait staff is friendly, the food is fast and always good. Our favorite is the breakfast burrito with chorizo. It comes with a spicy salsa and it good with every bite.

The best quality, we have visited here a few time, we live in Hollister, if it were in Hollister, I would go much more often. The best service and food. This is not a franchise, a local feel.

A gem in a small town. We went for breakfast so I have no review of their other meals but if the other food is as good as their breakfast than it will be great. The breakfast is out of this world and along with their home feel type of service you won't be disappointed.

While too often the food preparation is "good enough" this was one of the few places I have eaten where the food was prepared "as it should be." My over medium egg were. over medium, my "wiggly" bacon was wiggly, my hash browns were "brown." The toast was "toasted." You get the idea. And the portions were plentiful, service super,... More

This diner has changed very little since I lived here 50 years ago. Good old fashioned food and quick friendly service. We stop here for breakfast whenever we come 'home' to visit. If you're looking for fancy, it's not for you. If you're looking for good honest home style cooking then we recommend the Mission Cafe.
