We decided to try an unknown-to-us restaurant in San Jose's Japantown. This fit the bill. The servers were attentive and constantly visible. The entrees come with soup and a small salad. My food was ready very quickly. My husband's took a little longer, but both were very good. I had chicken Teriyaki & Tempura and he had Salmon Teriyaki & Tempura.... More

The miso soup was quite tasty. The salmon teriyaki was favorable and moist. I was more and pleased by their tea. I would definitely return. Lastly, the green ice cream and refreshing and good.

Lets start with the negatives. Place is well, dated and kind of cramped. Bathroom needs some "attention". If you go right at lunchtime on the weekends, you might have to wait to be seated but it's never been more than 10-15mins to wait. The staff is great. Mostly made up of older Japanese ladies. Food is super. I love the... More

I went there with my colleague on consecutive days for dinner. The ingredients that they use are real Japanese. The Sashimi portions are quite big. They had lots of variety to choose from. I strongly recommend to visit this place.

If you like sushi rolls, this is your place! They have a huge list of interesting sushi rolls. But they also have some great entrees. Love the beef/onion rolls. Some of the best tempura we've had too. When sitting at the sushi boat - they have "see-through shrimp rolls" ... super interesting we've never had anywhere else. They are delish.... More

We eat here often, both in restaurant and as a carry out. Highly recommended. We eat Japanese cuisine all over the country and this is one of our favorites. Called in a Mr. Nobu order on the way to the airport, picked it up with no waiting. Fresh and friendly service.

Walking around Japantown it was hard to choose which of the many restaurants on Lincoln street to go into... So I watched the locals and followed a family entering Kazoo. They were greeted with a hearty "welcome back" that included knowing their names and the owner playing with their young kids. So I knew I had made the right choice... More

One of the best in San Jose. Consistently fresh excellently prepared sushi and Japanese cuisine. If you are entertaining a large crowd go for the boat. You will not be disappointed.

I love places with boats, as you can get more variety of rolls when dining with only one or two people than you could at most places. Kazoo has some great rolls that float by that are really unique. It's not uncommon to get banana, walnut, or kiwi in your roll (yum). They also have some fun rolls for kids... More

My husband and I went there on 4th of July. The place was actually very crowded at 6pm! If you like fruity drinks, get the plum wine. YUM. The prices of food are not bad. Two people can easily eat for $40-50 bucks. There is street parking and not much. Make sure you have quarters.
