A Sacramento tradition for great dogs. Hot dogs are plump and juicy and the steamed buns are terrific. I love the BLT Dog and the soups are always good too!

There are few places in Sacramento where you can find a hot dog, so thank goodness for the Wienery. They serve a wide variety of hot dogs with a daily special. They also have a soup of the day and sandwiches. We tried the Windy City( their take on a Chicago dog), the Chili Dog And the Cheese Dog. All... More

The owners treat you like family and know how to make a good hot dog! They also have soup, sandwiches, and sides like potato salad. Its all super good! We're regulars here and will never stop coming here! We're trying to help convince the owners to open a second location!

I had been looking for a place to get a really good old fashioned hot dog and heard about this place. With a very small and unassuming look, you could easily walk past it, not knowing the hidden treasures inside. However, this family-owned and operated hot dog spot with homemade soups and to die for macaroni salad it a hidden... More

All this time in Sacramento and I never knew this place was here. Great tasting steamed hot dogs of many types for 45 years. I loved the clam chowder and they have beer too. Small locals place fun to meet someone at and way out of the way. Salads look great too.

Simple place, the newish owners purchased it a few years ago and at first it seemed like they might not make it. But they have got it down now. I like the sauerkraut dog with spicy mustard and a cold Modelo. Try the bean soup, they have maintained what the original owners intended. My cardiologist said I could go here... More

This place could use about twice the number of tables. Full, including the counter, many times I've been there. The dogs are very good! Nice snap and great flavor. Love their chili too! The only downside here is when taking food to-go, the door only opens in and need to ask someone for help when leaving (although I'd rather eat... More

Don't get confused by the picture above. That is not what The Wiernery looks like. It is, however, the best dog in town! It is a local gem with homemade salads and soups too! Been coming here since I was a kid!
