Casual atmosphere, great service, and nice variety on the menu. You get 1 level of spice but you can probably ask for more. The chicken eggrolls(Po-Pia-Tod) were very good. The Pad-Ma-Mauang-Him-Ma-Pan(mixed vegetables with pork) was very good and generous portion. The Pad Thai(vegetable) was very good but not spicy enough. The portion was take home size. Overall, a pleasant dining... More

Good service, good menu variety and selection. The spring rolls were excellent, I had yellow curry and pineapple rice. Very favorable.

This is our go-to place for Thai cuisine. They have an extensive menu and I never had even an average meal here. I always have native Thai spicy and they are always amazed. My usual meal is green papaya salad (enough to share), rice paper shrimp/pork rolls, Tom Yum Goong soup and the entrée I don't share, green curry with... More

Thai Basil is our "go to" Thai restaurant. Always excellent food and friendly service. Love their papaya salad, Thai iced tea, eggplant dish, and can't remember the name, but it's a steak dish with a "to die for" Chile sauce. Be careful, however, and always specify the spice level of the dishes you order....otherwise it comes out super spicy! Not... More

We visited this place because it was near our hotel. And it was delish. Our former neighbor was Thai and this food was easily as good as her homemade meals. We shared the chicken (laarb) salad and an entree. That was more than enough for two people.

My sister and I walked into Thai Basil on a Monday at 1:45....their sign says they close at 2:00 and re-open later for dinner. They welcomed us to have a seat and order and take our time. They actually had several more guests come in after 2:00 and seated them. The food was fresh and made to order.

Thai Basil is what is sometimes referred to as a "hole in the wall," but don't let that deter you. I once dated a man who refused to frequent strip-mall restaurants. Well, that's his loss. This is certainly one of the best smaller Asian restaurants in the Sacramento area. I met my adult nieces there for lunch, and we all... More

I visited this restaurant about a year ago with an after theater group of friends. At that time, I was not particularly impressed. I am happy to report that this time, it was a much better experience. The chicken breasts (two good size ones )I had were tasty. My husband had the prawns which he thought were great. Everyone else... More

Thai Basil continues to be one of my favorite Thai restaurants. They make the tradition Minced Chicken Basil with fried egg on top, over rice.....and I love it. Thought not Thai by birth, the food remains my comfort food. The flavor is so satisfying, and the dishes always filling.

Excellent service, and wait staff who remember their customers, and often what my favorite dish is. Thai food like this is comfort food for me. I especially their Thai Basil chicken which is chicken, veggies and spicy basil over rice, with a fried egg on top. Love the combo, and it always satisfies.
