My father was an Air Force pilot at March AFB in the mid-50's. He would occasionally stop by D'Elia's on the way home. The grinders he brought with him were fantastic every time. That store front is gone (Magnolia Center) but there are two others still operating.. The menu has expanded but my wife and I still opt for the... More

We shared the 3 meat grinder, it was HUGE!! The meats are very lean and all the veggies are nice and crispy fresh and went well with the crunchy bread. All I can say is "can I have another!"

Perrone's Grinders are a fixture in Riverside. My family used to go to his cousin's establishment , but since it closed, D'Elia's is the place to go for the bread and the capicola sandwiches. Great food at great prices and a family owned establishment.....what more can you add?

D'Elia's has some of the best grinders in town. The one on University is better then the one on Van Buren. If you like homemade bread come to D'Elia's.

Thank you for your Trip Advisor review. "Crusty" is exactly what we strive for in our bread's crust. New customers, at times, think it's stale, due to its crunchy shell, but that is the nature and consistency of our daily, house made rolls. I am, however, concerned about your opinion regarding the Van Buren location. Although the bread is made... More

It's been 35 years since I've been to D'Elias and it did not disappoint. I ordered the same as I used to get, ham and capacolla and Marilyn got a Cuban. Both sandwiches were great! Today I'm going back for my old favorite roast beef and provolone cheese. All this and my wife surprised me with a T-shirt too!

This place has great food. You can even phone your order in ahead of time for pick up. Don't know what a grinder is? It is similar to a subway sandwich only it is on their freshly made french bread loafs that are bigger. Instead of mayonnaise, they use olive oil. It is so good that your taste buds will... More

D'Elia's Grinders is a local Riverside staple and landmark...I've been eating there over 40 years...my favorite is the roast beef with extra provolone cheese, extra oil, tomatoes, lettuce, salt/pepper, and easy red pepper flakes for just the right amount of heat...what makes them unique and special are their crusty, crunchy French rolls used in the sandwiches. No other grinder place... More

I almost don't feel like I should be writing this review, seeing as I did not grow up in Riverside. D'Elia's has been a landmark here for a very long time. My Father-in-law has told me numerous stories of coming here on weekends to see the old cars gathering, or taking a break from some outing to get his grub... More

When a teenager and living in Riverside in the early to mid 1960's, D'Elia's was our favorite place to get a great grinder. Since we were going to be in the area on vacation, a stop here was an absolute must. Aside from a new building, the food has not changed at all. The recipe is the same as when... More

Purposely stopped at D'Elia's because I ate here (well, at the other location) in the 1960s and 1970s. I'm visiting relatives on my retirement road trip and just had to stop in here. The taste of the grinder is just as wonderful and delicious as I remember. The service was great and I didn't have to wait very long to... More

We're glad to hear about your retirement visit to D'Elia's in May. As Riverside's oldest, continuously operated restaurant, we've been here for a few generations. We love to know that we are a stop for thousands, whether it be for nostalgic reasons for our old-school customers, or for first timers. Thank you for noticing our friendly staff; they're appreciated greatly.... More
