If you're looking for a wide variety of beers, look no further. Martin's West has an incredible beer menu (most are bottled) but it's nice when your party has varying tastes. The food is more like upscale pub food than full entrees, so it's a...More

I’ve been coming to Martins West pretty regularly since it opened, and never had a less-than-great experience. Whether meeting a blind date at the bar, canoodling with one or two friends in a booth, having a romantic post-show cocktail, or dining with a large group...More

Martins West is primarily a cozy, friendly, diverse, and lively bar--you don't go there for food, primarily. Or you shouldn't. Being shut out from several over-subscribed places close by (Quinta Sol, Vesta, LV Mar, all with long waits), we found refuge at Martins West. We've...More

This is a great gastropub, with fresh and delicious menu options (their lamb burger is terrific). Their drinks and cocktails menu is also fairly impressive, including beers on tap. The restaurant does get a bit loud especially in the front section; the area towards the...More

Belly up to the bar and ask the bartenders what to have - best to arrive just after opening to see one strongman bartender chop through a solid block of ice. Best show in town. The main draw of this place - besides the great...More

Came here with a few colleagues. It was busy and seemed popular. Friendly service and the food sounded really great. However, when it came it was a little disappointing, like not that much meat on the fries dish (can't remember what it was called). I'd...More

After seeing a review on KQED Check Please Bay Area, we were excited to find a new well rated restaurant in our area. We made reservations and were seated promptly. When our server finally arrived, she took our drink order and disappeared. The restaurant was...More

It was ok and I would not drive out of my way to go here again. There are many restaurants in the area to try. The bartenders work hard to keep up with the volume and the drinks are the best. The mac and cheese...More

Visited Martins West Pub with my girlfriend recently and really enjoyed myself. They have a loud and lively atmosphere along with a attentive staff. The menu is interesting and you'll be able to try some new things when you go. Delicious scotch quail eggs and...More

I cannot say enough about Martins West. Join their Facebook page and get private notice of special pour of a select whiskey on Tuesday nights (1 bottle, low price, poured till gone). Cocktails are terrific -- talented bartenders. Try the sun choke soup or the...More

Description
Martins West is both a pub and a restaurant; serving Redwood City since 2009. An homage to seasonal gastropub cuisine, we are passionate about giving our guests the best possible experience and best local ingredients that we can find. We take pride in being a gastropub. To us, it means taking our food seriously, but not ourselves. It means serving refined food in a cozy pub atmosphere. We’re happy to take advantage of Northern California’s bounty of local produce, fish and meats to bring you seasonal dishes alongside classic pub fare year round.
