Service was very good. We came off time a after lunch crowd. I love beef bones So the beef ribs were good. My husband had pork ribs. Found them to be moist, well cooked, and tasty too.

I have finally found a spot in California with GOOD BBQ... Sauced is decent but Back 40 is the sizzle...First they have a TV in the bathroom and a mini mason jar of peanuts on the table and they are Good peanuts. The wings are delicious and the Q is on point which they serve with a pickle/onion combo. I... More
I visited the Back 40 several time as it was close to my hotel. I was never in the dining room I sat in the bar aria to watch sports. The staff is top notch very attentive and quick to help make decisions on the menue The steaks I had was great with lots of choices of yummy sides. The... More
The food and service were both excellent. We all had the ribs, several had Baked Potato, one had shoestring potatoes. The baked potato no longer is coated with salt and the shoestring potatoes had twice as much salt as needed. We all had salad, almost a meal by itself.
Picking a good happy hour spot that meets your individual requirements and needs is hard. No one place is perfect. Although I have had an experience with substandard service, what’s important is how the establishment resolves the issue and will the issues continue when you return. Always love this place to eat over business. They recently did a remodel and the food is great. Service is wonderful! I think it is the best bbq in town.
Our favorite place for take out for big family gatherings. They catered our daughters' wedding reception. Great service, great food, satisfaction all around. Plus we like to go for Happy Hour.

A little less food, and a little less cost. And you get dessert with it. Closest thing to a Florida "early bird" I've found out here.... More
Was staying in the area and wanted something to eat close to our hotel. I expected an okay restaurant with mediocre food and service. The service was excellent (forgot waiters name but he was tall and skinny), very pleasant and attentive. Food was very good and tasty. I had the large piece of brisket (delicious), my wife had the BBQ... More
Visited primarily to take advantage of birthday offer (free meal up to $15). As Seniors, we opted for the Junior/Senior meal ($13.79) consisting of a choice of 3 entrees with two sides and a limited choice of desserts. The waitress had to check to make sure that the Senior meal was eligible for the offer (it was). The entree we... More
