Cafe Bizou is a comfortable, relatively large restaurant near Old Town Pasadena. It is comfortable, friendly, and reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area. The staff is friendly and the service pretty good. Having said that, if you are craving authentic, delicious, core French food, you will be disappointed. We started with Escargot and the tuna tartare appetizers.... More

I went here with a group of 3 others shortly after their 11:30 opening. From start to finish it was very satisfying. Everyone in the group loved each of their dishes and the quantity was good. Service was smooth, polite and perfectly timed. Parking on the street at that time of day was available on the street although there is... More

We had the March menu, which was great. Really nice food! But we were looking forward to a long evening, sharing a good bottle of wine, enjoying the food leisurely. That didn't happen. I was prepared by the reviews that service was slow... not at all! We didn't even bother to order the wine...We were still drinking the aperitif when... More

Went here on a very rainy and cold day---had poor food and just as bad for dessert; My wifes' pasta with shrimp was badly over cooked,,,after a promising tuna tartare to start; Then , my blacked chicken/berry salad had nearly no berries plus no blackening spice on the chicken-- it was merely grilled and dry at that; For dessert--the flourless... We were driving around looking for a place to eat. When the menu was handed to us I did not see the "Can Not Split Entrees" sign at the bottom of the menu. My husband and I are small eaters. I have metastatic breast cancer and very, very little appetite. We were going somewhere after the restaurant so we couldn't... More

Well, it's just as I remembered from visits years ago to the Sherman Oaks venue. Good but not great food (probably missing great because of the raw materials and basic preparations with little creativity), very good service, little or no wine corkage, and a fun vibe of friendliness between customers and staff. All in the food is savory, kinda California... More

We were excited to try this French Café with our friends. However, it took 1 hour and 47 minutes to get our food after we practically begged three times. All I had was a salad which probably took 5 minutes at the most to make....tasted wonderful when I finally got it. My husband had the stuffed mushrooms and they were... More

four friends enjoyed a French-inspired dinner. Coq au vin, rack of lamb, leek and potato soup, escargots all reminded diner of shared meals in France. service was attentive and helpful. conversation was easy. desserts - sorbets and flourless chocolate cake - were enjoyable. this is a good choice in a neighborhood with many alternatives.

We were staying just up the street at the Marriott Courtyard, and so, this restaurant was just about the closest. Had not been here for a number of years (last review 2010), and, my, have things changed. Service is outstanding now. We remembered how it had been, and sort of dreaded to be in the same situation. But, no, the... More

It was our 47th wedding anniversary that week and we wanted to stop off somewhere special just for lunch before arriving our final destination. This place did not disappoint...the restaurant was very cozy/warm feel and service was courteous and prompt. Our lunch was extremely good. We started off with tomato bisques, small salad and hot sandwiches; pork with brie cheese... More
