This has the look and feel of a NY diner. The service was excellent and the food delicious. It's a special treat and surprised the local Bay Area folks who are so health conscious eat here, but the food is great. I had the hash brown baked pie with two eggs! Yes two eggs! Delicious. Highly recommended but be prepared... More

Everything looks delicious, but we just come here for the creamery part. They have great shakes and great ice cream. Everything is very old fashioned and malt shop looking. My only complaint is that I always order hot fudge and ask them to go heavy on it. This is the only place I have ever been to that charged you... More

Came with friends. Said to meet at Peninsula creamery meaning this place but actually a few blocks away. It is a diner. We walked to Palo Alto Creamery (with sign outside that said Peninsula Creamery. So confused. Anyway, I had soup and salad. It was ok. A friend had a BLT with fries which was large and he said it... Hadn't even heard of this place when we strolled on by after having lunch downtown in preparation for a film at the Aquarius. Oh my! I wished we had eaten lunch here! What we liked: 1. The menu--like an old-fashioned ice cream shop/diner. 2. Friendly greetings; prompt and courteous service. 3. Fabulous ice cream cone--generous portions and all the smooth... More

Consistently the best American diner. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, this restaurant provides the American iconic staples we all know and love. My favs? Chili hot dog, chocolate malts, egg salad sandwiches, sky high apple pie – Yum!

Our server was fabulous, our coffee cups always full of delicious coffee and my granola parfait was very good. The atmosphere is an old fashioned soda fountain.

This place can be crowded, in a good way! If you're looking for a place for people watching, the counter can provide a great vantage point.

I wasn't all that hungry, but I'd had ice cream on my mind for days. And when I found myself in Palo Alto, I decided to search out the Creamery. As luck would have it, a parking space opened up just across the street and I headed in. I ordered a cup of delicious chili (which carried a nice little... More

There are many old time diners and I am usually disappointed! My sister-in-law suggested we all meet here because we would be a group of 10. 6 of the 10 were children ranging in age from 3-13. My sister in law suggested Palo Alto Creamery because she knew it would have the space and a variety of food. Our waiter... More

A wonderful location set back in the 1950's. Palo Alto Creamery offers a wide selections of dishes that many of us remember from our childhood. But if you are interested in more modern choices check out their special of the day. Their milkshakes are thick and a real treat. Desserts are a perfect delight. I look forward to eating here...
