One of these classic old diners. Very good and fast service. Great atmosphere (that perfect noise level creating a bit of a buzz). I had a bacon and cheese burger and it was ok - could have been juicier. The other food served looked great though

Went looking for Palo Alto Creamery and saw no signs for it. Looked up the address again and walked back and there it was , but no sign on the outside (at least none I saw) and what looked like a new name on stickers in the windows - What's Shaken'. Inside the menu had in bold SAME MENU -... More

We came he at the recommendation of a Stanford student. I had the French Dip, the meat was cut right and moist, the au jus was full of flavor, wife got a burger that was cooked just right and made with quality flavorful meat. The homemade potato salad and Cole slaw was very good. The atmosphere was very old fashion... More

This place used to be called the Penisula Creamery when it was part of a Palo Alto-based dairy decades ago. It was taken over perhaps 20+ years ago by the current owner (Rob Fisher), who improved both the ambience and food by leaps and bounds. The Fountain and Grill features a more-or-less diner faire but with the emphasis on quality.... More

I really don't understand how other people gave such rave reviews for this place. We had a terrible experience. The fish &chips platter only came with 3 tiny strips of fish, the sandwich was soggy and the ginger cookie which looked amazing in the case was undercooked in the middle. Plus it was expensive and the service was pretty terrible.... More

We spent years going up and down the Bay Area Peninsula looking for new places to have weekend Breakfast/Brunch and found that the best one happened to be closest to home, the Palo Alto Creamery. We do mostly breakfast there but I know the whole menu of dinner style food is excellent with a broad array of excellent dinner style... More

All growing up, this was the goto place Saturday mornings after soccer games. Honestly the best thing on the menu is the milkshakes. Our family favorite has always been peppermint chocolate. Peppermint ice cream with chocolate syrup. Spectacular!

A popular eatery that is a not a very good value. The breakfasts are smaller than Dennys though, it must be said that the ingredients are fairly good. The prices are on the high side and the service is average. The tables are small and cramped and you seat close enough to other diners to hear their conversations. Overall a... More

Comfort food, great breakfasts, amazing fountain drinks, and cheerful wait staff. We love their apple pie so much that we served it at our wedding reception!
