Visited for a quick late afternoon bite and drinks. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. The lettuce wraps were great but the pork sticky buns were more fat than meat. The chicken curry was ok but not great.

I stopped in with my daughter for dessert on a Saturday night and was greeted by a few friendly woman and seated promptly. Our server was very nice and had good recommendations for dessert, all of which looked amazing! Actual food service took a little longer but it was a very good dessert and we left happy.

This place is owned by a former Google chef. The cuisine is new American/Californian. I patronize this business from time to time, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is always refreshing. Service is attentive and the ambience trendy, but the noise level is quite high. Great place to gather with friends and family, but perhaps not the best for... More

Have eaten there 3 times with groups from Stanford. Like the duck dumpling and Korean chicken appetizers. Always have the Vegan LovePlate as main to complement the non veggie appetizer - a creative varying selection. Nice wines by the glass and good beer selection,

We ate here the last time we were in Palo Alto and when we started to plan this trip, the first thing my daughter said was, "We have to eat at Calafia."

We were mourning the loss of Scott's Seafood restaurant, but needed to eat. We were in the shopping plaza and went to Mayfair Cafe where we had previously gone for brunch. The service was non existent. 15 minutes after our water was served we left, After leaving, our waiter followed us out with water for an outside table - he... More

Came here for lunch while on a visit to nearby SF. We were seated quickly outside. Menu was very easy to navigate and understand. Server answered questions and our salads came very quickly. Food was above average, very healthy yet flavorful choices. Later in the evening when we were looking for a dinner place we commented that we wished we... More

While this restaurant had good food, it was severely overpriced. I ate here for brunch after deciding I did not want to wait an hour and a half to be seated at Mayfair Cafe. I was impressed with the number of vegetarian and vegan choices and the ingredients were fresh. However, the quality of the restaurant did not match their... More

I love this restaurant and look forward to trying something new every time I go. Dishes are creative with good choices for vegetarians. Try this place when you want to surprise your palate.

I've enjoyed coming here ever since it first opened. One of the best restaurants with a diverse and healthy menu and an excellent juice/smoothie selection (Facebook Freeze is a MUST) Have ordered from both the meat-eaters and plant-eaters menu and equally as yummy and filling with interesting and complex flavors. Great food in an unpretentious atmosphere, do not miss this... More

Description
In 2009, Charlie Ayers leased nearly 5,000 square feet of space in the Town & Country Shopping Plaza across from Stanford University, realizing his dream of a owning neighborhood spot serving organic, sustainable, healthy, delicious food. Calafia Cafe & Market A Go-Go was an instant hit, and today still has crowds lining up to get a seat. This casual restaurant has an energetic vibe, and serves food inspired by the incredible bounty that is available in California. Calafia continues to bring the Silicon Valley community and its visitors together around fresh, farm-to-table cuisine in an always festive atmosphere.
