Stumbled on this place by accident on a slow return to SFO. The menu offers a wide range of choices - and not a French fry in sight! The decor is tasteful and there are many, for America, historic photos of Palo Alto and especially...More

Calafia has an interesting menu with lots of vegetarian options but the food was not very flavorful and just seemed like a bunch of stuff tossed into a bowl. It took forever for the waiter to take our order.

If you are vegan, vegetarian, an omnivore or a carnivore you can find what you want here. We usually sit outside because indoors can be loud, but pick a seat away from the overhead music. Styles of food range from classic American to asian and...More

We had high hopes for this restaurant based on what appeared to be an innovative menu that is half for "meat eaters" and half for "plant eaters". Although I am both, I decided to have a vegetarian meal based on that being so featured in...More

A friend and I went for dinner and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have a nice selection for both meat eaters and vegetarians alike. I had the clam chowder and vegetarian bowl and they both were very deletions....More

Menu has extensive variety for vegans and meat eaters. Their guaciale pizza with burrata was very good although everything else after that was blah. We tried their turkey, salad, chowder and duck pesto pizza and all were below par. Will only come back for their...More

There are pillows on the benches, low lighting, an exposed kitchen and a comfortable, homey feel. The menu is creative and eclectic. There are options for salads, tacos, pasta, etc. something for everyone! I had the steak tacos in a lettuce wrapper - delicious! We...More

A restaurant that does equal justice to both meat and plant eaters with a lot of options and variety. The ambience is old world and works best for the food served. Tempura fried vegetables were delightfully arranged and were crisp .. Goat cheese beets and...More

Calafia Cafe was a nice surprise. Sitting outside on the rare California sun this month was a bonus. The menu is packed with delicious food. Almost too much to choose from. Sandwiches come with fries or salad and are served on a wooden board which...More

In 2009, Charlie Ayers leased nearly 5,000 square feet of space in the Town & Country Shopping Plaza across from Stanford University, realizing his dream of a owning neighborhood spot serving organic, sustainable, healthy, delicious food. Calafia Cafe & Market A Go-Go was an instant hit, and today still has crowds lining up to get a seat. This casual restaurant has an energetic vibe, and serves food inspired by the incredible bounty that is available in California. Calafia continues to bring the Silicon Valley community and its visitors together around fresh, farm-to-table cuisine in an always festive atmosphere.
