This was a really fun restaurant to visit. The atmosphere was incredible and the food was delicious. Try the milkshakes and onion rings!! Service was good and the prices were good. Will definitely come back.

Classic retro style burger joint. Ate outside on a warm Saturday evening. People watched drank beer and ate this unpretentious food. It was a teenagers heaven.

Was seated on the outside patio, and waited 15+ minutes to even get drink orders taken. It was not busy (maybe 1 other table outside, 2 or 3 inside), just not attentive. Food was OK, nothing special.

I enjoyed a breakfast in February 2017, complete with great service and gluten free toast. Two weeks later, I returned. LOUSY experience. It was chilly, so I opted to eat indoors. I sat at the table for more than 10 minutes. No water, no coffee, no server. They were not busy--few were eating indoors. I was in Palm Springs for... More

Great fun! Servers wearing retro uniforms, very friendly and centrally located! Sat outside and had a great shake and burger! Typical dinner menu with lots of choices for milkshakes!

This is just like a diner in the 60s. The waiting staff were middle-aged and 'comfortable'. There are banquettes and Formica tables. Above the tables are a functioning model railway and two old pedal cycles. The music was ' rock and roll'. The burgers were fantastic

We had an awesome breakfast at Ruby's Dinner on Saturday March 11th. The cinnamon french toast is delicious. Only thing I can complain about is that the diner does not cater to people that are lactose intolerant or have milk allergies. Non dairy creamer for the coffee would be nice.

We stopped in for a burger and sweet potato fries and were not disappointed. What the food lacked was made up by the decor. A very cute quirky diner with a running train on the ceiling, bicycles hanging down and an authentic decor of the 40's diner. Was glad we saw it. Reasonable prices.

We called in when the diner wasn't busy at all. First thought was that if was a good old fashioned diner. We were seated and drinks orders taken then had to wait an age to give our breakfast orders. We waited even longer for 2 of the 3 meals to arrive. The waiter disappeared for some time so we couldn't... More

Classic American diner and classic big portions. We had a hankering for classic huevos ranchero to get us through to dinner because we were heading out to see Joshua Tree National Park. Ruby certainly delivered. We split the dish between the two of us.
