We ate here on two occasions this visit. The service was great, and the outdoor courtyard is beautiful amongst olive trees. The food was as the recommending friend described it: like any top rated contemporary bistro in New York or London. Thoughtful, tasty and with plenty of good choices, I hope this wonderful restaurant thrives.

My wife took me Palm Springs for a bday getaway and on the 1st night we were lucky enough to reserve a table there. The ambiance is cute and we sat at the community table which is the longest community table to man! They made our old fashions the way we like them and it was delicious. Everything we ordered... Pleasantly surprised to find such a high caliber restaurant in Palm Springs especially one embracing farm to table cooking like most great restaurants of the world from Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Calif to NOMA or Amass in Copenhagen, Denmark. Loved everything about it, food, drinks, wine selection, atmosphere (inside and outside) and welcoming staff.

We had light appetizers and a couple of drinks here - the atmosphere is modern and cool, I am surprised it was not busier when we were there, but we loved it nontheless. The drink menu is top notch, I highly recommend the punch - my husband and I shared the punch bowl which served four or two drinks each... More

Great place to go since they cater to both carnivores and vegetarians. I loved Their butternut squash soup and Their heirloom carrots. Would have wanted something with more plant protein. But, stil good and tasty. Also happy to find they had non-alkoholic Beer.

A James Beard Chef nominee, this place is nice and modern inside or sit outside in the courtyard. The chef himself comes to your table, if not too busy, I would guess. We had the redfish, pork chops, octopus and the hamburger and all of us enjoyed our meal. The brussel sprouts I felt were just OK. I have had... More

Found this place recommended on Pinterest. We ate outside in the courtyard because the weather was so nice. Great service and interesting menu. Enjoyed duck fat fries and the duck breast as our main.

Awesome interior, hip staff and crowd. There are booths along both sides of the room and a long table in the middle and a nice courtyard outside. Service is friendly but a bit slow (to be fair: the place was packed), the cocktails we had at the bar were great, and the food was creatively executed and good - a... More

They did a great job rehabbing an old drug store into a hip cool restaurant. The dining experience was not so good. My friend could not eat the cheese that came on the hamburger and asked if we could substitute goat cheese. They finally relented but said there would be an extra charge. (really?) I ordered a frittata and did... More

Wonderful décor with long concrete tables highlighted with attractive modern lighting all of which sets the expectations for great cuisine. We were not disappointed: cocktails wine and food were all superlative complemented by friendly and attentive without being overbearing service. Prices were high, but inline with the quality delivered.

Description
Dedicated to food, drink, design, and community. Workshop Kitchen + Bar is Palm Spring's newest gem in the heart of the Uptown Design District. Located in the Class 1 Historic El Paseo building from 1926, Workshop’s Industrial chic interior gives the historic space a contemporary edge befitting the locale. Our kitchen is based around seasonal products from local farms, so the menu changes often. Although "Americana" may best describe the style of our food, influences are many. Favorite techniques in the kitchen include our wood-fired pizza oven, wood-fired grill, and custom sous-vide station. The bar looks mostly to American classics and carefully homemade basics. Original cocktails vary with the market's availability and our bartender's mood. * Please note: Booth seating is limited and is reserved for parties of 3 - 6. We will do our best to accommodate your requests, but make no guarantees. For special requests, please call us at (760) 459-3451. *
