Although we spend our winters in the desert, we never went to this restaurant until friends said let’s have a great Italian meal. Had to check the menu—thought they made a mistake. Both inside and outdoor seating and every table was taken. Reservations are essential...More

We found this place tucked at the back side of the shopping center. The fresh salmon was perfect as was the salad. The bread was warm and tasty. The service was very prompt and friendly. We will be back.

We enjoy visiting the Backstreet Bistro with another couple and we’re never disappointed. Very consistent and tasty dishes from an extensive menu. Great desserts too.

Some of these legacy restaurants somehow still survive in Palm Desert catering to the locals, but skip it if you're visiting the area. The food is bland, the vegetarian options are very limited and when they know they're not doing a good job around service,...More

Calamari great but everything else just so-so. Once again little above average but nothing to write home about.

Learned that you need to know what to order. Soup was...meh. Pollo entrees were fabulous. Jazz band made outside dining conversation a bit difficult but the jazz band was terrific.

I would call first. They do have a very large outdoor seating area so I'm hoping they will.
