Good service, good pasta sauces but nothing exceptional. Unfortunately the 18 wheelers coming and going were not a bonus to this place that is mostly patio seating. We also did not care for the rude elderly diners at tables near us.

I booked on Open Table after reviewing their website which clearly stated Jazz music on Saturday nights. We wanted our out of town guests to enjoy some music while dining outdoors. Well there was no music and no real explanation. However this not really the issue. Our waiter (Marcus) was somewhat verbose commenting on everything. Wished he just stayed focused... More

We've only been in Palm Desert for two weeks, but we have already dined at the Back Street Bistro twice. And we'll go again before we leave town. An excellent meal and great service are exceeded by the delicious food. On a beautiful evening, there's nothing better than eating dinner in their very relaxing outdoor patio.

We tried this restaurant on a busy Saturday night. We had a reservation but was service was understandingly a little slow with a packed house. The staff were friendly and attentive. The waiter even provided us with complimentary Caesar salad due to the long wait for our meals. Once we received our food it was excellent. We each had a... More

We have eaten hee before and enjoyed the experience. This night we arrived on time for a mid week reservation party of 6. Hostess first seated people who pushed past at least, 3 parties to be seated first. Nice table outside - well heated with overhead propane burners and stunning view of the parking lot and tractor trailer delivering too... More

The lava cake is to die for and the creme brule isn't bad either. This has a small indoor dining room and a very nice outdoor space with lights in the trees. The food is well prepared, generous and the wait staff is very attentive. This is my mother in law's favorite restaurant and I understand why. Knd

One of the few places in the area that has lemon ricotta pancakes on the menu. Not busy on a Saturday morning; we sat outside on the heated patio. The regular eggs/bacon/potatoes were delicious; the pancakes big and tasty - they come with a little container of home-made raspberry butter spread. Lots of free parking nearby.

Went there for Happy Hour while in Palm Desert and it was a great choice. The place also offers jazz music during the week. The apps were all delicious and the glasses of house wine were as well. The charming patio was covered and a great place to have a relaxing time. We'll be back.

The food was good. The service was extremely slow. The server and management could care less when we mentioned it. Prices are fair and the food was good. But I would not go back.

We arrived on a busy Saturday night but our table for six was waiting. Our waiter Mario was very attentive. The food was excellent (the bruschetta reminded me of Venice.) Great value. Will definitely go back.
