Huge menu, reasonable prices, great service and a lively fun atmosphere. Peppers is another favorite gathering place for the locals, which is almost always a good indicator. My family, friends and I had our first grand meals at Peppers many years ago, during P.G.'s annual Good Old Days Festival......it's been a tradition ever since. Peppers has THE VERY BEST corn... Small room, cool atmosphere, great food! Good service too. We wanted to get away from cannery row and this was a perfect spot.

After all the good reviews we expected something really good. The service was fairly good and the place was quite busy. Our food was terrible. Chicken Fajitas come with bland rice/beans, Chicken had little flavor and comes in strips sitting on top of a bowl of wilted onions/peppers, no cheese, no lettuce, they put sour cream blob on top of... On our way past at 6:50pm the place was bouncing, full of what looked to be a local crowd, all looking to be having a great time. I was glad that when we went back past at 9:00 that they were still serving. The service was polite, prompt and helpful and the food was very tasty. Great beans, cucumber, salad... More

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night without a reservation. The place was PACKED! Seems most people coming in had a reservation. We waited about 20-30 minutes for a table. Our waiter was the best waiter we have ever had at ANY restaurant. He was professional and polite while also being very personable. The food was delicious and... More

Wonderful Mexican food and apparently a local favorite as it was packed every night. It was a block from the Centrella Inn, where we stayed so we did not have far to walk. The food was great. I had the stuffed pepper which was recommended by the inn and it was great. My husband had a combination plate and made... More

Peppers was better than expected in a tourist Mecca. In fact, it would stand up well against most Mexicali restaurants in small tomes across California. Chile Verde was exceptional and almost as spicy as the menu warned. Sides were spot on and portions large enough for any appetite. Top shelf margarita was terrific. The only negative has been addressed in... More

The food is wonderful, atmosphere caiotic, margarita's out of this world. There was a problem with one order that we addressed with the waiter that was not his fault, we saw the ticket he wrote. The mistake was made in the kitchen, when we asked to speak to the manager, he would not take the time to speak with us.... More

Great little find. Good Food, if in the area, don't miss the opportunity to try it! Also, good service which is important.

We've been coming here for years. Great friendly service, wonderful food, and margaritas too! My go to dish is the artichoke and mushroom enchiladas, a real treat. It does get busy so plan your time. Walk around PG if you have to wait a bit.
