Family celebration brought us to this restaurant and the dinner was excellent. Fresh fish that literally melted in our mouths as well as amazing delicious vegetables and lobster. Recommend.

We went to a family Chinese New Year dinner here tonight and our relative ordered the food with no msg, no peanut oil as family members have allergies and the food was tasty! We started off with diced winter melon soup, beef with Chinese broccoli, prawns with walnut, fried rice, Peking duck, pea sprouts, Li Han Jai (monk dish), Peking... More

This is our go-to Chinese for a quick lunch. Portions are good and so is the price. Service can be curt but this is not fine dining. This place does not have peking duck only roast duck.

Our party of six had an early dinner here on a Saturday evening. The neighborhood, storefront, and decor were plain, but the food was terrific and very authentic, and the price was unbeatable in this family restaurant. No General Tsou's Chicken here! We started with a delicious complimentary winter melon soup. Then we dove into the plump steamed oysters (5)... More

If traditional Cantonese is what you want, Ly Luck is good choice. All of the old favorites Westerners look for as well as many dishes our friends (1st generation) ordered. Free Parking across street in lot behind stores. Take out and eat in. Big tables and small.

Tasty and popular Chinese food in the Fruitvale district. We ate family style and everything was fresh and well-prepared. Place was popular on a Saturday night and we had a brief wait. Food came out super quickly. Especially liked the walnut prawns and sizzling beef.

Not fancy but famous for great Cantonese Foods. I would say it's just about the best buy and deal in town for authentic Cantonese Foods.

This is my second visit to Ly Luck and I found a dish that I will always order - the scallop/green onion fried rice - FANTASTIC is an understatement and our waiter told us that it is the favorite fried rice of customers. The pork in mu-shu was rather chewy; potstickers were good; hot and sour soup was also good.... More

There's nothing special to look at with Ly Luck -- from the outside, it's got a plain looking storefront and the inside is pretty tired looking. But the food is for real Cantonese, just like home. I like to get what's hard to make well at home -- their ham dan (pork hash) reminds me of Mom's; surf clams are... More

Ly Luck in the Fruitvale District of Oakland, CA has good tasting Chinese food. I am Chinese and generally feel I cook better at home. However, Ly Luck has a Yee Foo Won Ton that is hard to find at other Chinese restaurants. It is flavorful and the won ton is filled meat ball size. I actually, would like the... More
