Glad we went to Camino! The menu isn't large and overwhelming. Looks as if it changes daily based on stuff sourced locally daily. Started with oysters and crab and ended with trout and pork belly. Rarely have had food better cooked. The Syrah recommended with the food was excellent. Orange Tart and the Chocolate dessert rounded off the evening. The bill... More

I have eaten at Camino many times over the years including some special events (Ottolenghi dinner, Mallmann dinner) and a New Years dinner. The food has always exhibited incredible finesse. For a good description of Camino see Mark Bittman's New York Times article from March 28, 2014 "Not Enough Cooks in the Kitchen." What he wrote still applies. The title... More

We ate here as part of a large family group dinner party. I found the menu, the prices, the value, and the attitude of the servers to be more than just a bit on the pretentious side. I guess the basic theme here is that everything (including the vodka) is locally sourced and the menu changes daily to reflect the... More

Touting a Chez Panisse chef, fine dining, lovely ambiance and great service, it had none of these. I read some of the other reviews after we had dinner there and I agree. The portions were laughable. The waitstaff was rude, not accommodating, and because gratuity is included, they felt entitled. It was way overpriced. We had made reservations days ahead,... More

Two couples went as a special vacation treat by our SF host. Atmosphere was cozy, but lively. We all had the inclusive special (steak), believe it was on a Monday evening. Food was all very tasty and very good and drinks were very nice. Our service could not have been better, waiter was very attentive. The no tip policy was... More

I celebrated my daughter's birthday here. It is her favorite restaurant (and her husbands favorite also!) Our waitress steered us to a great bottle of wine and orders that we were happy with. The food is simple and delicious! I had the pork loin, my partner had the vegetarian dish, and my daughter had the sand dabs. Everyone was very... More

The good: A delicious appetizer with smoked eggplant and yogurt and a great mixed drink with pisco. The rest: Not sure why this is a Top 100. It was fine, but not amazing and was very expensive. I consider myself a foodie and this did not wow me. Disappointing.

Setting: Nice rustic appearance with lots of wooden elements. Large tables. Easy and free parking in the residential area around the restaurant. Takes all credit cards. Food: Clear focus on local in season and organic. Has a menu limited to the seasonal availability. Has an open kitchen and uses open fire on the grill. Food was tasty and very pleasing... More

I had heard quite a lot about this place and their wood fired oven, so was pretty excited to be in town and get a chance to try it. There were three of us and we didn't have a reservation, but they were very friendly and accommodating and we sat at one of the tables in the bar area. Our... More

We had a family brunch to celebrate my daughter's birthday with three generations. The service was friendly and attentive. Ever had a baked egg with cream and herbs? Or frittata with smokey eggplant and avocado? Or grilled breads with savory a plate of savory snacks? Here is your place! The wood oven concept makes the food special and delicious! Even... More
