The wait staff is friendly and food is good. The real reason to go is to enjoy the view. Make a reservation at least a day in advance to get a seat at on the porch. In summer they have an express service booth for beach eating. And the bar is open for walk-ins all the time.

No reservations before 'off hours', but fun place for lunch. The food was quite good and obviously the location certainly adds to the experience. It is very busy so get there early and check in as wait time will be at least up to 1/2 hour.

This is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. The food is great, but it's really the views you come for. I enjoy grabbing a drink at the barefoot bar while waiting for a table. When you're done, walk your meal off by wandering down the state beach, checking out the historic beach bungalows and the tidepools.

We had a fun and very enjoyable dinner with friends while visiting Laguna Beach. We thought the food and service were very good. We'd happily return and recommend to friends. Pleased our friends were driving because the drinks were punchy (and good).

There aren't very many dining options at Crystal Cove Beach, and so there is no reason for this restaurant to try very hard. But they wowed all of us in our party! The menu goes way beyond the traditional beach shack offerings. The food was absolutely amazing - the fish was so fresh, the fries were delicious, and the salads... More

We always try to eat breakfast here when visiting in Orange Couty, California. It is literally on the sand with ocean views and surf sounds from the open air deck. (There is plastic sheeting for protection in bad weather,) It is in the historic Crystal Cove State Park. Reservations are hard to get. The dishes are fun and well prepared.... More

While we are staying at a very expensive resort in Newport (Pelican Cove), we took one evening at the Beachcomber in Crystal Cove. While not super expensive, the Beachcomber is a superlative dining spot in this area. Specific points in its favor: 1. The setting of this eatery is amazing. In a state park, it is scrupulously non-commercial. The historical... More

We were in the Crystal Cove area and stopped here for an early dinner. It was a long wait for outdoor seating, but there are picnic tables on the beach right outside, so it went by fast. Parking is across the street on Los Trancos in the Crystal Cove State Park parking lot. It's a 5-10 minute walk to the... More
