I was raised in National City. Cafe La Maze was the old, established place your parents used to go to before they had kids! I finally went back for a meal -- I'm sure it's been 45 years since I last ate there. The decor is a throwback, but don't be alarmed. The restaurant has kept all of the best... More

Step back in time and enjoy great food, great service and great drinks. Our recent trip here was the results of seeing a comment about it and then being intrigued. What a great place, we love it and have already planned our next visit. Our service was excellent and the food was perfect. We were a group of six that... More

If you are looking for an excellent beef meal, it's a easy and quick drive from La Jolla on a Sunday evening. The location is just off Rt 5. You fly down the freeway and back. No parking problem. For your slight effort, you will be rewarded with a great prime rib or steak meal. In most other restaurants, the... More

Old style decor with red covered booths. Good food with excellent service. If you go on a Friday or Saturday plan on spending the evening as they have great live entertainment for any age. Very entertaining. We stayed until the music stopped. Lots of oldies but goodies.

Service is on point. Love their prime rib special. Restrooms are clean. Great atmosphere & they have live music. This place is one of the oldest steak house in San Diego, feels like the Untouchables movie could've been filmed here.

Really nice restaurant with a large selection of choices. The manager recommended the rib eye steak and it was superb. Great service and a place worth returning to.

Bad- live bug in my salad, prime rib carved against the grain or something... we could hardly carve it with steak knife and it tasted more like steak. Good- our waitress was horrified by the bug- offered me another salad (I declined), bowl of soup? I said "no". She brought my husband a glass of wine on the house (He... More

This little gem in national city is one of the best and somewhat undiscovered restaurants. Excellent steakhouse restaurant with very good drinks and perfect for a little old school romantic night out. Everything is good. Even the bread.
