Very good pasta and great service. We were able to get last minute reservations. They serve you bread with olive oil. They have a good selection of entrees. We had the ravioli and shrimp Diablo. Both were very good and I would order again. Service...was good and food came out fast - almost too fast. We were there on a Wednesday night.More

The food was AMAZING!!! Melissa was over the top, one of the best servers/waitresses we've had since being in California! We started off with the calamari which was very flavorful, and finished with the 14 oz ribeye with the lemon creme pasta to share between...the two of us. The steak itself was packed with juices and flavor.. could cut the steak with a butter knife. To be honest, it was the staff that made our dinner experience over the top. Melissa was so accommodating and recommended the best off the menu. Going forward, going back to Napa, Pasta Prego is top on our list!More

A friend of ours who lives in Napa picked this restaurant for dinner. It's several blocks northwest of the portions of central Napa that most visitors frequent and appeared to be mainly patronized by locals. We had a wonderful meal. For starters we had the...fried calamari, a margherita pizza, and the smoked salmon appetizer, which is like no smoked salmon dish that I've had before. In fact, when it was delivered, I thought they'd made a mistake as the salmon is formed into a florette that appears to be a mere garnish to the dish, with the corn pancake covering the entire surface of the plate -- a complete winner in terms of taste, originality, and beauty of presentation. This may have been the single best dish that I ate during our 10 day California vacation. The calamari were crisp and precisely tender. The pizza was fine but not a standout. For mains, the 2 other diners both selected seafood pasta dishes -- 1 had the linguine with shell fish in the white wine broth that's on the daily menu; the other, cioppino, which was a special that evening. I didn't have tastes of either but both of them praised their dishes. I selected the pasta bolognese, substituting linguine for spaghetti. I had really hoped for fresh pasta, but the only fresh pasta choice was ravioli, which I was not in the mood for. The bolognese tasted fine but was a bit oversauced and it would have tasted so much better with fresh tagliatelle or similar fresh "long" pasta. We passed on dessert as the first 2 courses had been so filling. Our server was attentive and cordial. She did a lovely job of serving a bottle of wine that our friend had bought ($15 corkage fee if you bring your own wine, which is quite reasonable). I'd certainly return to Pasta Prego if/when I were back in Napa.More

The food was amazing. My husband and I went with another couple. Calamari was crispy and delicious, the house bread was fresh, and our portions were a good size. The pasta Diablo had huge shrimp.

Pasta Prego is a small restaurant that is very easy to miss, but don’t miss it! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

Pasta Prego is a place we frequent several times each year, because we enjoy the quaint little dining room a few blocks away from the heart of downtown. Service has always been good, and food ranges from good to very good. Items that stand out...for us are the chicken Marsala, pork chop, and whatever risotto is on the menu. Portions are generous, so Pasta Prego is also a good option for take-out that can be served family style. We have had take-out several times this summer, and look forward to eating in the restaurant again soon.More

A group of friends and I were recommended this restaurant by a local working at one of the wineries downtown. It did not disappoint. A must go for the homemade ravioli with half cream sauce and half marinara. You won’t regret it!

All I can say is yum! Recommended from our inn owner and did not disappoint. Make sure you book, as it was almost full even though we went on a Monday night in March.

When you pull up the exterior isn't exciting. Once inside it's very quaint. Bailee was our server and she did an amazing job. The pasta is made onsite. I had the ravioli with the citrus cream sauce. Excellent! The sauce had a hint of lemon...that wasn't overwhelming. The wife had the chicken marsala that tasted very good. The desserts that night were a bailey's cheesecake and a chocolate tort. I'm not a big Bailey's fan but the wife loved it. The chocolate tort was very delicious., but very chocolaty. I only noticed street parking, so that can be an issue. We were there on a Monday night and it was busy. I would recommend reservations on thw weekend.More

Yep. I typically wear khakis and a polo shirt, but dress codes in Napa are pretty casual. “Dressy” shorts and a nice blouse will fit right in!
