This is our perennial first morning stop when near Murphys. Consistently excellent with a small amount of food items. Also have a selection of other coffee related paraphernalia.

We go here to get their Black Bear Inn blend of coffee designed especially to be served at our favorite inn, but the menu for coffees and smoothies is perfect to stop for a slow down sip. This visit I had a coconut (pina colada?) smoothie on a hot day and it was a cool and relaxing place to wait... More

Gold Country is a charming place with delicious coffee and non-coffee drinks, locally-baked pastries, and a friendly staff. Especially fun to be there when they're roasting coffee, which the staff is happy to explain. Seems to be very popular with the local residents, and it's our favorite hangout on a cold morning or a hot afternoon.

They roast the coffee right there. Coffee is rich and flavorful. They make the usual assortment of specialty drinks.

The staff at GCR is amazing - they know my name, my drink... Super friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about good coffee! The hours are consistent and the coffee is excellent. Great for stopping by for coffee, or purchasing grounds to go.
