Our group had mixed reviews on the food they chose. The person who chose Ravioli was pleased with the choice; the Marsala chicken was tough but had a good flavor; the parmesan-crusted salmon was way too salty (perhaps because of the Parmesan cheese?). The veggies were soft making them unappetizing. Overall, the best thing we had was the house salad.... More

Walking downtown Mountain View with the pooch. MV has a number of restaurants on Castro Street that have off-the-sidewalk, street side seating that's a single step down. Don Giovanni offers a lunch menu that is top notch. Had the eggplant parmesan for lunch. It has to be the best eggplant dish I've had in years. Not bitter; the mistake many... More

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a very gracious man (the owner?) and shown to a nice table. Our experience went downhill from there. This may have been in part because we were there on a Groupon. As soon as we showed it to the waiter, his attitude became condescending. We had questions about the menu, which he... More

Went to an early dinner on a Saturday after a theatre performance. Because it was 4:30 pm this restaurant only had a few diners. This may have skewed my views of the restaurant. Four of us dined in side booth and it was really wonderful that we could hear each other talk and didn't have to raise our voices to... More

Don Digonanni has been there for years. It is not your typical pizza place; in fact, I am not sure they serve pizza. It is one the more established Italian restaurants.

They try their best but place needs to gain some class for the prices they charge. Staff is friendly and accommodating but... menu was dirty with smudges of some substance all over it, can't overlook something like this. There were three people lunching. Asked for a lemon, waiter brought only one piece of lemon that didn't look too fresh. Portion... More

12 family members went to this restaurant for a very special birthday evening. I made reservations for 15 to begin with and modified to 12 over three confirmed phone calls AND an on line reservations system When we arrived the table was set for '7-10' people with them stating someone had called to change it. Not moving, we all squished... More

Whenever I'm asked for a recommendation for a good restaurant to take clients, or friends, my first choice is always Ristorante Don Giovanni. For large groups, they have a private dining room, and a wonderful system for letting the wait staff know what meal you've chosen from the pre-order menu.
