Nice diner, right off I-5. Food is good and portions are hefty. Service can be slow at times. Really a good stop for breakfast.

We have eaten at Black Bear before for breakfast. Was great before and probably better now. Generous portions, good service, and great food.

Great place to eat. Except in the summer time. The flies get inside and they are so annoying! It is commen in the valley, so it's not Black Bear's fault. They have tried many things. This last summer I noticed a new ultra violet light in the entrance. HOpe the helped!

No matter where we travel, stopping at local Black Bear Diners is the way to go! A welcoming staff, great food breakfast, lunch & dinner with generous servings at affordable prices can't be beat. This original Diner has an amazing view of Mt. Shasta! Breakfast: amazing menu offerings served all day. Really wanted to try the Pineapple Upside Down pancakes.... More

Waitresses are always friendly. Food is always plentiful. I like their breakfasts best: numerous scrambles, omelettes, benedicts, pancake options. Always more than I can eat.

I like the new twists they give to standard family meals. They give you BIG portions, but you can order smaller portions if you don't like wasting food.

I have eaten here a few times and always enjoy the experience. I especially like the soups during the winter weather.

The plate was heaped full of pot roast and potatoes. I was starving and only able to eat half. The food was great and good value for the money. It was my first time, but not my last, that's for sure.
