OH MY - What a disappointment. A nice meal with unacceptable service. I dined at Menlo Grill Bistro & Bar earlier this evening. Instead of getting back to work, I am taking time for an unflattering review. First the good part: Terrific ambiance, quite suitable for a business dinner or even a night out with my bride, it felt warm,... More

Dear Rich, Nobody ever wants to receive a review such as yours, but I appreciate you taking the time to let us know what you experienced last night at dinner. You have my sincerest apologies. As you pointed out, the lack of service or simple understanding of the depth of the situation can negate great food and drink. I hope... More

Brunch was good but the dining room is a bit dull and needs a refurbishment. Wait staff was excellent. By contrast, the bar area is very welcoming and having a drink in front of the fireplace is the perfect end to the day. Loved the outdoor courtyard too but there isn't food service there until mid-May.

I had high hopes for the Menlo Grill Bistro & Bar based on hearing the hotel is very nice. I found the food to be pretty average - we had calamari, hummus & veggies, guacamole & chips plus main dishes. The miso halibut that I ordered was pretty tasteless. A friend who can't eat gluten struggled to find a decent... More

The menu keeps changing but there are some essential favourites that always stay like the Garlic Hummus with vegetables and naan. The desserts this time were all different from what i have had earlier .. sorely missed the Bread Pudding which was a delight to have earlier !! Ambience is as great as ever... very elegant .. not crowded ..... More

I had to wait 10-12 minutes in the restuarant and no one ever approached me to greet me or even offer a glass of water. I did see one server but he clearly could not handle the large number of diners. Hence, too many diners and too few servers. I left and went to the dining area of the bar... More

I stay at a lot of hotels and eat at a lot of hotel restaurants. This one is special. It is a restaurant you would seek out even if you were not staying at the hotel. The food is fun, creative, and luxurious. From seafood to meat, salads to dessert, they do everything right. Don't forget breakfast too!

Usually hotel connected restaurants are questionable, but the food here is really good. We had the daily special trout and the Chilean sea bass. We shared our entrees and the sea bass is the best I have ever had. Will definitely return.

I ate in the bar because the restaurant seems noisy. The food was average. I had a steak salad. The service was very poor. They had a lot of patio tables which would be fun to have lunch or drink at. But, the were not serving out side. I found their lunch menu very limited.

A wonderful restaurant in Menlo. You can bring up to two bottles of wine with no corkage fee. The setting and service are excellent. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

We enjoyed both lunch and dinner at Menlo Park Grill. it was very convenient as we were staying at Stanford Park Hotel. The menu has a nice selection of food and wine. There is a full bar. I found the food to be fresh and flavorful. I had the risotto with sun dried tomatoes, green beans and Parmesan. It was... More
