Our family had a private party here and everything was first rate. All the apps, dinner and desserts were quite delectable. Service was on point and unobtrusive. We had a large group and they handled our many special requests without batting an eye. This is our second private party at Left Bank and we'd do it again in a hearbeat!

If you want to wait out the Palo Alto rich hour headache with peace and elegance, stop here for Happy Hour, 3-6:30 daily. Tons of awesome $7 tapas, and a $10 wine and tarte flambé special that is to die for!

Recently I had dinner with friends at Left Bank following an afternoon theater production in Mountain View. I chose this spot since I had worked in downtown Menlo Park for years and remembered it as being a nice place for brunch. I also like the fact that MP has several city parking lots surrounding Santa Cruz Avenue. We arrived at... More

Yes, the service is spotty. They are college students pretending to know things. Still, the food is awesome as Americans would say. Lamb shank - check. Chicken under brick - check. Branzino - check. Chocolate mousse - questionable. Go for it. Nothing else in MP will do.

We had dinner at Left Bank recently. The place was nearly empty, yet the service was appalling. Lots of waiters were setting tables nearby, but one came to take our order. When we fm ally succeeding in ordering, it took forever to get the food. Roast chicken, usually a favorite in any French restaurant, was seemed to have been flattened... More

We chose Left Bank Menlo Park last Monday to celebrate our son's first day at his GREAT job after college. I wanted to introduce him again to moule frites, French style. It's been years since we've been here, but always enjoyed going. Our party of four had a reservation; we had a nice booth. The two service faux pas were... More

Had some great starters and drinks at a happy hour price. Try the sliders they are awesome and also come with fries. This was easily a meal. We also had fried calamari which was great. The service was also very good.

I took five of our summer associates to Left Bank for lunch. It was a quiet day, so we could have a conversation without too much noise (when the restaurant is crowded and with the tile floor and high ceilings, it sometimes can be hard to hear). Everyone ordered something different. The food was good. The waiter was very good.... More

One of the few places my wife can get nicoise salad and it does not irritate her insides. Nice decor, like the large prints, a comfortable spot. Parking behind restaurant works for us. I get the American burger usually, but be careful about the eggs,if you are dairy sensitive, I bet they use cream in some of the brunch dishes, fyi. Overall,a good... More

Great selection of small plates and happy hour drink specials in a great atmosphere. Outside seating on a warm evening was delightful.
