We stopped by The Marshall Store on our way from San Francisco to Guerneville. I had read about this place online and thought it would be a neat place to check out - and I was right! Very quaint and low key but delicious! We sat outside overlooking Tomales Bay, enjoyed the BBQ oysters and Oysters Rockefeller with a glass... More

Been driving 40min to eat here for many many years. First stopped when it was a tiny little store with no out door seating, my has it grown :) Best oysters around. Yes you are basically sitting on side of hwy unless you score a deck seat, but I don't even care. You are right at water, sometimes watching a... More

The Marshall Store is a required stop for our family on any trip to the PT. Reyes area--sometimes we'll go twice in the span of a couple days. Raw, Barbecues, with Chorizo butter...whatever! The oysters can't be beat at the view and atmosphere are indescribably wonderful!

At the recommendation of our Airbnb host (Driftwood Cottage - 5 stars), we stopped to have barbecued oysters at this tiny eatery on CA-1. The oysters were fresh and perfectly done. Highly recommend if you are in the vicinity.

Made the trip up to Marshall from San Francisco one rainy day while exploring Point Reyes area. Marshall's appeared populated exclusively by locals and hipsters. Views would be great on a nice day. We sat inside due to weather. Ordered raw oysters and oysters rockefeller. Both excellent. Soft drinks, bottled beer, wine availble. They do have chowder, smoked salmon, and... More

Weather dependent for eating because nearly all seating is outside, this is a fabulous side of the road stop that sells unbelievable crab, oysters and other "fancy casual" food. Seating is high top and communal, with the exception of two lower picnic tables. Service is quick - order at counter and they'll bring your food to you on a wooden... More

The Marshall Store offers the freshest raw and barbecued oysters that we literally have had on any US coast! The clam chowder is tasty and uniquely interesting due to the thinness of the broth. It is a great West Coast alternative to the East Coast thick and overly creamy chowder. The venue (a long outdoor table) with views of the... More

Deservedly famous. Great oysters raw or grilled. When weather permits take a seat outside. Do order the sour dough bread. Good choice of crafted local beers. Good white wine available. Don't overlook the clam chowder, the tri tip and pulled pork sandwiches, or the locally smoked salmon. And consider purchasing some Point Reyes Cow Girl or Nicasio cheese to take... More

Its so hard to pass by any of the oyster places on in Tomales Bay; we ended up choosing Marshall because we spotted a parking space. The five stars is for the oyster dishes AND for the experience of sitting at a picnic table on Tomales Bay slurping down oysters and sharing a bottle of wine. Loved the rockefeller and... More
