We eat here several time during the month the food is excellent, authentic mexican food. I have never had a bad meal, home made tortillas are the bomb. None better. Husband and wife are hard working and kind. They make everything fresh every day no left over stuff here. I have gotten sick in several restaurants in the area and... More

I went here with my parents and a friend. We walked in and it took several minutes before our presence was even acknowledged. The place had an eerie feel. There were several other customers inside, but the place was silent. And when we were seated in the center of the room, all eyes were on us. Creepy. The waitress (there... More

Homemade tortillas, best in Marina in my book! Really good home style Mexican food. We like it more every visit!

Food was exceptional. Small, quiet location. Excellent choice since they had specials and total for dinner for 3 was less than $21 including beverages!

Friendly staff, excellent food. I had Sope and chili relliano. Nachos for appetizer. Neighborhood mexican restaurant. Good for lunch and dinner. Salsa a little spicy but it was delicious.

Although the decor in this restaurant is dark, drab, and dated, the food is authentic and uniformly excellent. When Ft. Ord was in play, it was the site of Wayne's Steak House. This restaurant is family owned and operated. Service is slow and you have to flag the Mrs. down to get your bill, but the food more than makes... More

We found this gem while driving around Marina looking for a restaurant that was still open at 8:00 pm on a Sunday. Fortunately, we came across this place. We had the carne asada burrito supreme and chicken tamales, both were excellent. Whatever you get, be sure it has some of their fresh guacamole!

As long as you are not in a hurry, I highly recommend you try El Palmar. The service is slow only because it's a husband and wife doing everything. Go their have a beer or a drink at the bar next store, relax expect that you will be there for a little bit and you wont be disappointed. We eat... More

The food at El Palmar is wonderful. You might have to wait a bit to get it but it is worth the wait. A very friendly restaurant, Friday nights are especially good as William Faulkner is usually here playing the Jalisco Harp.
