Stopped at Duke's after visiting the Getty Villa on a Friday afternoon. Great location to watch the waves crash, the sunset and enjoy happy hour drinks. Wait staff was friendly and the vibe authentic California. This was a memorable experience for a couple of Midwesterners.

Enjoyed the view at lunch. Food was really good. Only little irksome detail was that server spent an inordinate amount of time with another table of guests. We felt just a little neglected although we got most of our stuff in a fairly timely fashion.

After a long road trip through SoCal, we were on the final leg making our way down the coast to LAX to catch a flight home the next morning when we stopped at Duke's. The rule of the road was one drink only at each of our stops. It was at Duke's that that rule was overturned. Halfway through my... More

Duke's a great menu with happy hour specials. The calimari is a must try! The view off the shore provides for a nice ambience. Good beer menu too!

We stopped by on our drive down PCH and pulled in for an early afternoon snack. We just ordered a few appetizers from what I thought would be a menu of the same tired old items that you see at the same tired old restaurants. Boy, was I mistaken. We had a delicious selection of ribs, ceviche, calamari, a cold... More

Service was excellent, view first rate. Only caveat is I would tend to stay away from the fish and chips. Mine, at least came out overdone and dry...otherwise, I would definitely return...

My husband and I went to dukes whilst away on our honeymoon to celebrate my birthday. I had the mango burger and my husband had fish and chips. The servings were very generous and tasted great. Very good customer service and our waiter brought us out a special desert free of charge as it was my birthday. Can't remember the... More

Description
Duke's Malibu has brought the excitement of Hawaii, Waikiki, and surfing to the mainland. The spectacular oceanfront location on Pacific Coast Highway offers over 300 feet of romantic oceanfront dining and memorabilia from both Hawaii and California surfing history. The Barefoot Bar, looking south into the lights of Santa Monica, is a great spot for drinks and casual food with friends.

Staying in Malibu

Neighbourhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
