Horrible service. We sat an hour in PCH traffic for what was supposed to be a nice night at Dukes in Malibu. Upon arriving, we sat outside at the bar for approx 30 mins without being served. We walked up to two separate servers and asked for service. They both replied "sorry we are trying out best". We asked for... More

We were taken to lunch here by old friends and were very impressed. The views of the ocean are superb and we had never heard of the Duke of surfing so it was very interesting too. The food is very good but the wine is better!

We stopped for lunch at Dukes. The valet parking was good but odd at an average restaurant. The staff were very nice and friendly. We sat inside and the ocean view was peaceful . we even saw a seal playing in the waves. I had the fish and chips which was good nothing spectacular and a caesar salad which I... More

My family loved our dinner at Dukes in Malibu! It's located just feet from the ocean, and if you get a window table the view to the water is beautiful! The food is varied and delicious and moderately priced. We will continue to visit this seaside restaurant on our vacations to the Malibu area!

Restaurant has a nice view of the sea, and I believe only two items on the menu are marked as "fresh seafood": the clam chowder and another fish entree. Coming to the California shore we were expecting a little more fresh seafood... Aside from this, "valet parking" is not an optional convenience provided to customers, but more a disguise to... More

First I love the valet parking, parking any where is Los Angles area is a struggle. Second, the fish tacos where delicious and there was a nice selection of craft beer. We sat outside which was shaded and a fantastic view of the ocean. We enjoyed our experience at this restaurant.

What a great spot! You feel like you are sitting on the rocks.Better to go of a daytime and take advantage of the gorgeous scenery.I personally did not like my choice of meal. But it was my choice. The Hawaiian fried rice was not for me.In saying that it is a casual place to go on the PCH!

Description
Duke's Malibu has brought the excitement of Hawaii, Waikiki, and surfing to the mainland. The spectacular oceanfront location on Pacific Coast Highway offers over 300 feet of romantic oceanfront dining and memorabilia from both Hawaii and California surfing history. The Barefoot Bar, looking south into the lights of Santa Monica, is a great spot for drinks and casual food with friends.

Staying in Malibu

Neighbourhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
