Check out the stores then go out to the sidewalk to watch the street characters. My favorite was Edward Scissorhand who engaged everyone who passed in a fun and friendly way.

This iconic locations is surronded by some interesting tourist attractions. Theres is of course the starts on the sidewalk, but here is also the Pantages Theater, The Dolby Theater, The El Capitan theater, the wax museum, etc.. Lots of souvenir shops, restaurants and plenty of good people watching. If your in L.A. for the first time, it's definitely one of... More

For me a visit to Hollywood & Vine was on my must see list, but its not for everyone. This area is obviously not what it used to be, but i dont mind. I was lucky enough to see them shooting an episode of How To Get Away With Murder & get a pic of one of the stars pretty... More

Hollywood and Vine used to be the spot to be in Hollywood many years ago, but things have changed. There is little here except over priced restaurants and high rise condos.

A must see, where to old glamor and glitz used to be... Yes it is a bit run down but if you could look past this then you will enjoy. For the people from around the world who come to visit Hoyywood and Vine, prepare to be a little disappointed, it's not what you think it is. Yes it is... More

Too bad. This used to be one of the "must see" places in California but nowadays unless you're interested in seeing bums, druggies and weirdos, this is NOT a place to hang out. The W hotel is nearby and the Pantages Theater is lovely, but Hollywood and Vine has become skid row!

One of those must-do touristy things...... walking along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, reading the names on the stars, while your feet feel like hot coals are beneath them in your new pair of stiletto Stuart Weitzman pumps.

Soak in everything that Hollywood Boulevard has to offer...The Capitol Tower just up Vine...Pantages Theater a few steps away and of course a Starbucks on the corner... Brought back "The Coasters" song from the 1950's

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
