I had the five house-brewed beers flight, and it had a couple of nice IPAs. The thing is, having been to all those exciting breweries in LA ( especially the ones in Arts District), Bonaventure Brewing just seemed a little bit underwhelming. Now don't get me wrong: the service was awesome, beers are good and the outside tables allow you... More

We happened to find this place as we stayed at the hotel it's located in. The food here is amazing for a brewery! It's actually better than the beer selection. We returned a few times and I can highly recommend the burger and the Hawaiian Poke (marinated tuna). Ah excellent place with outdoor seating at a hidden spot.

I have been to the Bonaventure Brewing Co. several times now during happy hour to catch a bite to eat before attending events in downtown Los Angeles. The small selection of food items on the happy-hour menu are marked down by about a third, and the beers that they make on the premises are discounted as well. I've had most... More

The shops and restaurants at the Westin Bonaventure are located on several levels--not all of which have elevator service and for neophytes the stairways are more like a daunting maze rather than functional, efficient gateways. Nonetheless, my journey to the Bonaventure Brewing Company was worth the trek. The easygoing, capable servers (on this case the perpetually smiling Sarah--and it was... More

The food was good at the Brewing Co. The service was slow. The menu selection was ok. Really enjoyed the option of eating outside. Unfortunately there were no heat lamps available.

It took the best part of 20 minutes to get drinks to the table and I think that's the first time I've seen the table being reprimanded by the server. Food is ok.

Lovely 'pub' restaurant on 4th floor of the Westin Bonadventure. Very popular and with a good feel. For LA prices are very good and good choices on the menu. We both had the honey-coated Salmon with sweetcorn, veg and garlic and bacon mash. Delicious! It's a very popular place and we had about a 20 minute wait, but it was... More

Four of us called for a light meal. Just one course but we were all happy with our choices, and the bill was less than we had been accustomed to paying for food such as this. Friendly service as well, so recommended.

This is one of several restaurants located in the beautiful Westin Bonaventure Hotel (see separate review). As I was staying here for six nights, I decided to eat here one of those nights. Kim was a great server and the food was excellent. They also brew their own beer, but I had iced tea. Like the rest of the hotel,... More

Food was decent: typical bar menu Service: left to be desired. Our server had that 'I hate the world' attitude on our initial interaction, she then explained that it was really busy and warmed up a little but however we had asked for water and a second round of drinks and never got any of that... So less money spent... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
